Our central AC unit went out during a heat wave, of course. I actually get sick from being hot + full blown migraines. The HVAC people didn't have time for us. So, we went to town hunting a window unit. NONE were available! What a nightmare! The final store we tried had this Frigidaire model and it is fantastic! After getting it installed, within 30 - 45 minutes we were chilled down. It's a wonderful thing. It's so great, we're considering buying more of the Frigidaire window units and forgetting about central AC. We live in South Dakota and only need AC about 3 months of the year anyhow. But, this model works FLAWLESSLY and does a fine job. LOVE IT!

Worked fine for a day

Installed it one week ago. Turned it on last night. Worked fine. Liked it alot. Tonight it was turned on and a loud clanking/grinding coming from the fan. No obstruction that can be seen and the noise can be heard clearly when fan reaches full rpm. Called support multiple times and each time the call hangs up on the support side. Someone from Frigidaire needs to contact me.

We had a 220 outlet installed by our electrician and then we went to Mr Jays and bought our new A/C. We love it. It cools our living space in more htan half the time. We should have done this sooner.

I purchased this air conditioner to replace an ancient wall unit that was in our home when we purchased it. The ancient air was very cool, so we had high expectations. The Frigidaire is just as cool, but with less noise and a more up to date thermostat. I am still waiting to see how my electric bill looks compared to previous years.

Great ac, but I have read the reviews about a noise and could be a fan issue. I am having a tech come by Aug. 31 to check it. I really don't want the ac removed and reinstalled since it was done professionally. However, there have been no follow ups with any of the reviews about how the noise got resolved and would like to know from anyone.

I bought this about a month ago if that and when it was delivered the new air conditioner did not work. the deliverers said it was my electric. we hired an electrician we had 2 come out we got a 2nd opinion just to be sure. they both said my line was fine and that it was active. It was the air conditioner it was bad and did not work never came on.They ( PCRichards) delivered us another one.And now we are getting rumbling noise from it constantly I'm trying to reach someone now and the hold game is ridiculous with even with covid the first couple of times the call after being on hold for a while was disconnected or dropped twice again after already being place on hold for 15 20 minutes. hard to believe everyone is calling about problems with your merchandise all day every day. I think everyone is now blaming Covid for everything.as I'm typing this I'm still on hold.

I replaced a wall unit with this one about a month ago and I™™m so happy I did. This unit cools 3 large rooms, porch, living room and dining room. It even manages to pull the humidity out of the kitchen, which is a completely separate room. I know that this is known as a window unit, but I was informed that it would also work well as a thru the wall unit, and it does. (See attached pic) The price was also fair for a 18,000 btu unit. I highly recommend this air conditioner.

I've had this unit for coming on 2 years now and I love it! I don't have central air so I actually have this unit in the wall, where it replaced an old one. It definitely keeps my living area cool and I love using it on eco mode with auto speed, doing that it almost functions like central air to maintain the set temperature. Will definitely recommend Frigidaire air conditioners in the future.

I love the accuracy of the temperature control. I wish the remote wasn't infrared because I can't use it when I'm not directly in front of the unit. It work well and cools pretty quickly. Makes clicking sounds but its not in my bedroom so I really doesn't affect me in a negative way.

I am so glad you asked, I have had this miserable unit for almost a month now, and have been unable to get in touch with anyone concerning it, no body will answer the phone, nor call me back, it is horrible, I have never seen a company act like this in all of m 66 years, I have no idea how they stay in business. I need it fixed or a refund, i do not want a replacement, i think there is a defect in these units, and it is a whole lot of trouble to install to have to then uninstall it. Just not right at all. I had a whirlpool unit that had been working for 18 years, when i took it out, it was still cooling, not so nowdays, they do not even work till the warrenty goes out, and good luck with said warrenty, they are no good if they will not answer the phone.

Terrible Unit avoid at all costs

I was forced into this unit as a replacment and it would raise the humidity every time the compressor would cycle off about 4 to 7 percent each time it went of in a fully sealed room and so it was impossible to breathe with my asthma with this unit and was forced to remove it and stick it in the garage where it awaits disposal as it also leaked freon.

Generally, the unit works ok. But, on the real humid days, the air conditioner drips water out of the outflow air stream area of the unit. Requires me to put a paper towel to absorb the water or it drips down the front. Does not drip a lot but it is something which I would not expect.
