It is a very good air conditioner. The room I have it in is 10 1/2 by 12 and it cools it very quickly. I use the timer at times so the room will be cool when I get home.The energy saver is also nice - when the room gets to the desired temperature it turns off for awhile - saving energy. It is a little loud when its on high - but when the room gets cool I put it on low and the sound is much better.

Although this air conditioner now holds the temperature very well, it does not hold the remote temperature long enough. I would prefer to run the unit using mostly the remote temperature.

I bought this unit a week ago through wholesale. The unit does not cool the room as well as another unit I bought some time ago. Frigidaire is not willing to accept that this is a faulty unit and rather wants to place the blame on customer and the wholesaler. The other unit is the same model as this one SMH. That one cools better even though it's almost a year old

My home has a room over the garage that usually does not cool very well, so we mostly used it as a storage area. Once I installed the window ac unit, to my surprise it became the most comfortable room in the house. The temperature in the room is great, the room now has a daybed, television, and toys. It is also my favorite room for the grand kids to play, watch television, and have fun. This ac cools this room so well. I highly recommend this window air conditioning unit!

I bought three of these units about a month ago to cool 3 bedrooms. It does a good job, but due to the size, cools the rooms too quick and often leaves the rooms feeling muggy. The dry mode helps, but doesn't get the rooms to a humidity level that I am satisfied with.I knew that an 8,000 BTU AC is too large for the rooms, but it seemed like that was the smallest size for a through the wall setup.I also bought the 14,000 BTU model for the living room/kitchen area - and it does an amazing job. But the BTUs are fitting for the sq ft.The 4 Frigidaire models all work well, but wish there was a smaller size through the wall unit than 8,000 to help with the mugginess.

I bought this 2 weeks ago and am so glad I did. I have Frigidaire ACs in every room and a Frigidaire refrigerator. I made the mistake of buying a Fredrich ac first for my bedroom only because I wanted to fill the whole space of the through the wall sleeve and I wanted wifi control. That thing was horrible it fit perfectly but did not cool like the older Frigidaire AC I have. I tested them all 5000 btu 1400 btu and the new 8000 btu Fredrich. both the 5 & 1400 btus came down to 42 - 43 degrees the new Fredrich 54. returned it and got the Frigidaire that I should have gotten to being with. So I don't have wifi controls that's okay I have a very good cooled down room. There are some new features on this new AC as well very good features. I keep it at 74-76 low cool and its freezing some times that I have to turn it up, mostly at night. Love it, Love it, Love it.

I do not care for the remote. It's too small, and does not light up when the lights in the room are off making any changes to setting very difficult unless you memorize the buttons. I attempted to contact customer service with questions and was unable to get through on either number, and the website chat feature is impossible to use. Not thrilled.

I had the prior model of this Frigidaire 8,000 BTU unit and the only issue was there was some compressor noise, which seems to be improved in this latest model. I was disappointed that the prior model only lasted 6 years, however. I hope this one lasts longer.

I purchased this unit for my mother as her apartment was extremely hot with a sudden heat wave this August. My husband and I installed it into the wall opening with all the attachments for a proper fit. We turned it on and it immediately started to cool down her home. So far, it is running nicely and continues to keep my mother comfortable. Thank you Frigidaire, for making quality products. This one replaces a very older model of the same brand. I know I can trust this name to make a dependable air conditioner.
