Front burner controllers

The knobs on this model turn on too easy. Multiple times, one of our family members have unintentionally bumped into a burner knob, and actuated a burner. You do not even realize it unless you look down and see an orange glowing, now on, very hot, burner. Our tile contractor was here installing the backsplash tile. He covered over our brand new countertops, sink, and range as a precaution with prastic. While working in the vicinity of the range, he must have touched a burner knob. The plastic began to melt to the surface, he tried removing it quickly. Burnt his finger tips. Knobs should not actuate this easily. Too delicate for comfort.

The stove is beautiful to look at. I thought the learning curve would be significant but after reading the instructions everything was quite intuitive. Air fried chicken and air fried shrimp are amazing. I only have one complaint. The drawer is useless. There is a part hanging down that means that you can't store your pots and pans it it. I can only fit two skillets so I had to rearrange my kitchen to be able to store pots and pans.

I am very happy with the looks of this range and so far so good with the baking and cooking. It is however very loud, When it is preheating everyone says what is that noise!! It tends to go loud then quiet the whole time it is being used. I'm getting used to it but I can say I've never had such a loud range.

Oven turning on by itself

Less than one year and the oven it™€™s turning on every 10 minutes and last like 1 minute on and then turns off. The pad is very sensitive but it™€™s clean, nothing making it to get a false touch. One of the griddles has an uneven temperature control. You never can have it right, it gets very hot and it will burn the food if you are not paying attention. It™€™s like a constant fight trying to get the temperature right. That was almost since the beginning of the purchase but this oven on and off problem, can be a fire hazard. I hope the store can respect the warranty.

Purchased this Frigidaire oven in October of 2021 due to an issue with my old Frigidaire oven™€™s heating element not turning off once preheat temperature is reached. Now just over a year later the brand new Frigidaire is doing the exact same thing. Frigidaire customer service offered no help to troubleshoot other than asking if I knew how to properly preheat an oven and suggesting that some foods require different temperatures and times to cook. Frigidaire does not stand behind their product and seem to have no concern over a significant fire hazard issue with their ovens. I wonder how many other customers have this hazard in their home.

We purchased this stove in 2020. One year after purchasing we started having issues. We have had 7 repair services thus far. When using the self clean feature for the first time it blew out the stove top. The second time it blew out the oven. When doing some research it was stated that the self clean feature burns out the oven/ stove when being used, so why offer this feature. We have had repairs on the hot surface indicator light and the door insulation. We are now having issues with the oven turning on by itself and turning off while cooking and not being able to turn off the timer. At this time I dont feel safe having this stove in my home due to it being a possible fire hazard. I am working with the retailer to have this stove replace with a different brand. My suggestion is "DO NOT TAKE A CHANCE ON BUYING THIS STOVE"

I had to upgrade from a "bisque" colored Kenmore electric range when it died after 15 years. I knew I wanted a low back range so I could access my outlet and light switch. I will admit I was a little freaked out with all the new options on my range, but I can honestly say, I am so happy. I love the air fry, that the knobs are in front, I can do things with just a touch of a button, and the all black top. It looks so classy too! I know that when it comes time to replace my fridge and microwave, I will be getting Frigidaires to match my cool range.

Aesthetically, this is a beautiful piece. The black stainless steel looks amazing. The no-back panel makes my kitchen look bigger and the glass top is easy to clean. The performance is the best I've owned. Oven pre-heat is much faster than my previous stove. The air fry mode works perfectly and the cook top is so responsive, I'd compare it to cooking with gas.

Rubber gaskets are falling apart

Like others, the rubber gaskets that are on either side of the door openign on the top are falling apart. The metal clips cut right through the material. This is a very flimsy design. I have only had my range since September. Come on Fridgedaire, fix this design problem!!

The seals were not working on our new stove and it took a week for me to get a call back then another week for the service guy to come (who was fabulous) but I got nothing from corporate or the dealer. So disappointing not to be able to use the new stove. Now parts are ordered and may be months.Got it working in the meantime, but not safe as heat escapes and will make surface top knobs not to touch.

Quality isn't what it used to be!

I find the new slide in range to simply be a standard push in range with front controls. They've removed the counter top lip which made the slide in look custom. Now you have gap and must come up with your own plan to cover the gap. The metal of the stove is extremely thin and cheap compared to our older Fridgidaire. Baking temperature is uneven and you'll most likely need to go through the calibration process for accuracy. The control knobs are dangerous if you have small children, they don't truly lock out and when you just walking by and brush the stove they'll turn on as does the oven as the touch controls are over sensitive. The stove does look nice and the stove top does heat up fast, which are the positives.

I like the range, especially with the knobs on the front. But a design flaw has been made on the inside part of the range where the door closes. There are 2 rubber gaskets underneath the front control panel which, I assume, are there for when the oven cleaning is going. But those 2 gaskets are easily torn, impossible to put back into place, and require an appliance person to replace them. Fortunately, our range is still under warranty but not hopeful as to how long the repair will stay. The glass top, like all others, needs constantly cleaned and burned on food isn't easily removable, but since gas ranges are on the way out, it is what it is.

I researched a number of different brands, but chose the Frigidaire because it had the features I wanted, I liked that the knobs were located on the front facing out, not on the top of the range like so many of the other brands, and this range was priced reasonably.
