Poor quality

I have had my mixer for years (which I absolutely love) but the wire whip does not last. I am on my third whip. They break from the base and con not be repaired.

these are not made of stainless steel, they are aluminum the wires are aluminum and leave marks on a towel if you rub it the hub is cast rather than machined so the fit is poor and sloppy. kitchenaid really needs to produce a factory equivalent part to the original 4162166 wire whisk for the K5M5 (5qt lift mixers) like they did for the tilt head mixers after people complained.

I have had my Kitchen Stand mixer for 25 years and I have had my wire whip for the entire time. Cannot get better service than that!!!! The only problem is that my old whip decided to break while I am preparing a meal for 50 people??!! Thank you Kitchen Aid for a great product!!

2nd time Im having to order this wire whip

I love kitchen aid small appliances, however; im so disappointed in the wire whip. This is the 2nd time Im having to order a new one because they break. This will be the last one I purchase. Sadly Im going to try another brand of stand mixer.
