Direct Y-Connector water hook-up A solid brass Y-connector delivers water from the cold water inlet directly to the dryer. It eliminates the need to fill a reservoir in dryers that feature steam-enhanced cycles.

This dryer has great features and I would love it if it didn't ball the clothes into one big ball. When drying sheets or blankets, they will twist and ball up so tight that even after drying for an hour they will still be wet on the inside of "the ball". Meaning, you have to go in every 15 minutes or so and unravel or it takes twice as long to dry. TOO MUCH MANUAL LABOR AND TOO MUCH ELECTRICITY!! And for the record, I bought the companion washer at the same time. Had so many repairs that I finally gave up and bought a new one (even though these are supposed to have a 10 year warranty). Ever repair I needed was not covered under the warranty.

I have had this dryer for several years and regret buying it. I had a Maytag Neptune that was fine. The motor in the Neptune washer died and we opted to buy a set rather that just the washer. The door rattles unless I lean against it and I cannot dry consecutive loads of laundry without the check vent light illuminating or it gets so hot, when I clean the lint screen, I cannot get it back in place without unscrewing the 4 screws that hold the frame in place. I should call Maytag but I don't want to pay a service fee.

I bought this dryer from Sears and it was very affordable for the amount of options this dryer has. it has been doing its job very well. its very quite and i can hardly even tell its on.

3 years and the dryer is shot!

After only three years the repairman said " not worth fixing". I used it on med heat for 15 minutes cycle for another 1.5 years. Now it shot completely. This was me being stubborn because the washer had to be rebuilt after only 2 years!! Worst set ever!

Overall the dryer has been fair. The Quality of workmanship however has proven to be poor. I about one year ago had the motor mount housing for the blower/fan fail resulting in the unit needing repaired to move the heated air. Now I have the Drums weld fail near the door as did Jim from Ontario in a previous review. Like Jim I contacted Maytag Customer Experience Center to be informed that they are sorry but that the unit had a one year warranty from the date of purchase. Obviously, the decade of dependability for years to come that is advertised...coming with every model covering key components does not apply to the Maxima's "Maytag Commercial Technology" High-Efficiency Electric Dryer. I am a single parent with a now 3 year old child...do not think I come close to being compared to a commercial user. Fuzzy advertising saying that "Maytag doesn't just talk about dependability- we back it up." Buyer be ware!

I purchased my Maxima in August of 2013 and LOVED it until October of 2016 when it started to make noises. After diagnosing the problem as the belt letting the drum rub to make the noise. The belt and rollers were replaced making it quieter. Not as quiet as it was when new. Maybe this is because the drum is slightly oval and not perfectly round. I noticed this while the drum was removed and back rollers were being installed. I am a fan of Maytag and have had previous dryers last over 25 years. I hope this one does too. It has so many nice features that until recently I would have been singing its praises.

This is a great dryer! It dries faster than the "sensed" time almost always. No matter what is in there, it doesn't shake to an annoying level. In face, it's almost unnoticeable. The only issue I have is sometimes the lint filter molding folds into itself making it difficult to replace the filter.

The cleaning cycle is very fast compared to other comparable washers. Tried using vibration pads as this is on the second floor, but really not that bad. Would buy again for sure. The door is heavy though and we leave it open to dry out the drum but it has sagged overtime and the door is obviously alittle out of alignement but it still closes ok.

This is a great dryer if you are drying small items like pillow cases or towels. Bed sheets, duvets and coverlets are a different story. The dryer bunches them into a ball within a few minutes forcing you to open the dryer, separate the sheets and start again. This goes on several times each load. Steam function is ok but seems to just inject water into the drum as opposed to creating steam. Dryer squeaks like mad after three years which I just got an estimate of $400 to repair.

I decided to upgrade from my old top-loader dryer to the Maytag front loader. I LOVE IT! The large 4.3 cubic foot capacity is awesome. The dryer takes less time to dry the clothes. Many option settings.

I love the features and options on this dryer, especially the wrinkle control option for times that I'm not able to take out my laundry right away. I do have some loads that won't be completely dry after one cycle, so I have to run the dryer for another half cycle before the clothes are no longer damp, but overall, we've been very happy with this product.

We bought this dryer a couple of months ago when our old one completely bit the dust. We knew all the features that we wanted and had a tight budget to get it. We love the steam feature to refresh laundry and the wrinkle prevent! How many times have you forgotten about a load in the dryer and it was completely wrinkled?! I know I have numerous times, but that is no longer an issue with our new dryer! Only minor issue is you cannot turn off the sound that the dryer makes when you turn the knob to the setting you need to use. That's pretty minor for us though!

The drum is the biggest I have ever seen. Even with a full load from my oversized washer, it still handles the load. Drying has been great; do not have to rerun anything. The lint filter could be larger, but the reminder light is a nice feature. On the petasel, the height of the door is perfect for no bending loading and unloading. And, you cannot hear it running

We chose this dryer because of its unmatched capacity. We have a big family, so size matters around here! My only complaints are that (a) large things like sheets tend to get tangled up and wrapped around themselves, and the middles never get dry unless you untangle them and redry several times; and (b) the sensor usually leaves the clothes a little damper than I'd like. We've tried the "More Dry" setting, but things are still sometimes damp when it says they're dry. We really like the steam setting, though the steam "shooter" should be more than one little nozzle. It gets small areas very wet, leaving other areas completely untouched by steam. All said, I'd rather have the big old Whirlpool dryer this one replaced!
