Love the combo of oven with microwave. Have found I gravitate to a few key functions. Almost too many preset options. And scrolling through the list with the buttons is a bit cumbersome. Based on intuition and trial and error I feel like I will be using only 20-30% of its capabilities. Need to find the time to spend more time reading the manual

Known cosmetic defect

There is a cosmetic defect in the control panel display of which Bosch is aware. When viewed from certain angles there is a noticeable line through the text (about the width of the text height). Bosch had the display panel replaced 3 times before someone in tech support finally admitted that it was a known problem and replacing the panel would not solve the issue because the replacement would have the same problem. I would expect better quality and much better customer support from a company that charges these price points.

This product was installed in 2018 in our new home. Just after expiration of the warranty the panel failed and had to be replaced. Since then, we've experienced four additional failures that required a service technician to replace switches in the door. The technician told us the failures are a consequence of a design flaw and we would continue to have this problem as Bosch refuses to fix it (too much voltage to the switch?). Anyway, we're done spending money to keep this unit operating. For something that costs $2000 you would expect much higher quality than this!

After only one month of use, the ceramic Piece under the turntable broke. We also had the display panel replaced because the display was so dim we could hardly see it and there is no sound. The new panel is no better. Many others have complained about this microwave in our condominium - all of them are new.

History of poor quality, yet still selling unit

0/5 Stars. Like majority of reviews here, we've had 3 repairs since purchasing in 2018, and it's broken again. Failed magnetron, failed door switches, broken plate drive, etc. Shocking that Bosch continues to sell the exact same unit four years later that has such a terrible performance history. Our other 4 Bosch appliances work fine... so far.

This speed oven works as expected. Only complaints are the stainless steel is very fragile. Dents VERY easily as do ALL stainless steel Bosch appliances that we have. Also the speed oven and oven are different shades of stainless steel from refridgerator, so keep that in mind if you have them near each other in your kitchen.

We bought this 2 1/2 years ago, last year there was an order and we found that the thermal switch was not installed correctly causing the screw to cut the wire. After usage it finally sparked and shut down. The cost to repair would have been $450 but we bought the switch for $4 and repaired it ourselves. today it just stopped and we were about to buy a replacement so that the microwave matched our other Bosch appliances. After reading the reviews we will turn our attention to another brand that may compliment the oven. Sorry Bosch buy you lost another loyal customer

So Far So Good, but could use some tweaks

So far I really like this oven. The things I like most are the varied choices of cooking methods - Convection, Broil, Microwave, Sensor Cook, and combinations of these including SpeedChef which is a combination of microwave and conventional cooking automated program. The things I wish were better, the broil and convection broil are not stopped with a timer setting. So, if you don't hear the timer, the oven keeps on cooking for up to 99 minutes making it very easy to burn things. We try to use our own timer on our watches or phones to be sure we hear it and keeps reminding us to go get the food out. It would be nice if these functions could be timed like the regular microwave cooking. Also, I wish there were more automated programs for the SpeedChef and more modes for the "More Modes" function. But all in all it's a pretty nice oven. We like that we can cook toast in this oven. As long as we set our own timer to get it out on time! Thank you!!

For the reputation of this company, this is the poorest in quality when it comes to alerting you when you item is completed. Even on the highest setting, per the instructions, there is no sound, just the fact that the oven has turned off. And the lighting for the display is very dim and almost unreadable from any sort of distance. Again, this has been set to the highest level that BOSCH allows. I would DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND this product for anyone - just based on those two items alone.

This multi-mode oven does so many things and does them well. We used sensor cook for fish that were perfect. The broil feature is handy for warming tuna melt sandwiches. The list goes on and on. Great design and great features.

Substandard Product at Higher than NORMAL pricing

We have had this product for 3 years and it has gone out three seperate times. Two while fortunately under warranty and now this time out of warranty and so far has cost us over $500 to fix and we still dont have it back. It has been out over a month. It took two weeks to get service and once we had service they had to take it to the shop for repairs; that was three weeks ago. Now I'm sure the replacement parts are on backorder. I have owned several run of the mill microwave ovens and have NEVER had this level of trouble. We just spent thousands of dollars remodeling our kitchen and house and thought we were getting good dependable products for the money we spent. Obviously we were wrong. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Great speed oven without rewiring the kitchen

I replaced my old Wolfe stove, hood and microwave a year ago with Miele stove, hood, and blower. I liked the idea of a speed oven, but almost all of them require a 240 V connection. This is one of the few that would work with my 120V/20A outlet and breaker. I was VERY hesitant after reading all the negative reviews here. The saleswoman at my local appliance store agreed that the reviews were terrible, but she had sold a number of these in our area with no complaints. So I went ahead and purchased. I have been VERY pleased with the versatility and efficiency of the Bosch speed oven. It roasts a chicken perfectly in 42 minutes, and it looks and tastes better than any chicken I've ever roasted in a regular oven (clean up tip - tuck a big sheet of parchment paper around the chicken and under the dish to keep interior clean). I wanted to add a positive review as I suspect the satisfied customers aren't bothering, so you end up with a distorted view of the product. I'm sure the negative reviewers have had some problems, but their comments are so far removed from my experience with Bosch that I was a bit skeptical that they could be typical. FWIW

Bought this oven as part of kitchen remodel and of course designed cabinets to accommodate it. Shortly after warranty expired it stopped working due to fuse and microswitch failures. Have had it happen twice since then. We are now into it for over $600 in repairs. I would happily replace it with another brand but nothing else fits the cabinet space. Also the design is stupid. Shelf does not slide out, there is no timer and the alert that the microwave cycle is finished is barely audible unless you are standing nexr to it. I am working with Bosch to discuss a pro rated replacement but I'm guessing that the problems have not been addressed so I'll just start all over again.

The Bosch microwave that came with our house (500 series) failed after about five years, and we replaced with this one. The features, including convection, are excellent. After the first one's non-working turntable, which the Best Buy service team attempted to repair but could not, the replacement seems to be working well.

My biggest regret in our home building process was buying Bosch appliances. I would never recommend to anyone. We have had the appliances 3 years and have had multiple issues with our dishwasher and this oven. We never used the convection setting (only microwave) and were told it would be over $900 to fix. Bosch customer service has been horrible and non responsive. After spend mutiple thousands of dollars on Bosch home appliances, you would think you would get top notch customer service. Horrible product. Horrible customer service.

We bought a brand newly constructed house in 2017 and this unit was part of it. With a manufacture date of late 2016, today our microwave (we almost never use the convection oven) started shutting off a few seconds after putting something in and turning it on. It does this repeatedly. Like others, this subpar performance and failure for a nearly $2000 microwave is nearly imcomprehensible. I'm already looking at LG and Samsung so I can throw this unit away, given how many failures it has I'd rather not have to constantly repair it. I will not be buying another Bosch appliance and will instead look to brands like LG, Samsung, etc. that clearly are higher quality.

Not impressed with the speed oven, ths sounds are to soft so if you are timing something of microwaving one needs to be on top of it to hear the buzzer. No easy to keep clean as you can not us any abrasive cleaners

After spending almost $2000 on this microwave we didn't expect it to break in the first couple years. We spent money on repairing it since it was out of warranty. It broke again month after the repair. We tried several times to call the customer service and email someone over at Bosch - no response. Not only is their product a total disaster, their customer service is severely lacking. We have their stovetop and oven as well and those work fine, but after their lack of response on the microwave issue I will never again buy from Bosch.

I purchased the HMC80152UC brand new from an authorised dealer when I remodeled my kitchen in late 2015. Within 4-5 months, I noticed that the top control panel was exceptionally dim, despite being set on the highest brightest setting. 8 months later, it went completly dark and stopped working altogether. I used a repair service to replace the panel for $300, but still the display was barely lit. Well, right before the Thanksgiving holiday, the unit died again. I contacted Bosch customer (dis)service and they told me it would be 3-4 weeks before a technicain could even come to look at the unit. Well they came the other day, told me what I already knew (the unit was broken and needed to be repaired) changes me $139 for the service visit, and gave me an estimate of $602 in part to repair it. SOOO not worth it. I'm done with Bosch.....you lost a customer but gained another stellar review.

We purchased our first microwave and oven in 2015. The oven has worked great. It is now 2020 and we are on our third microwave. Our third microwave just failed. We have had this one less than two years. We thankfully have an extended warranty. Four microwaves in 5 years. We are stuck because the microwave is built in and these units are not cheap. We cannot get another microwave without doing cabinet repairs. We reached out to Bosch and got no help. We have other Bosch products, and all work great.
