Solid performance.

We have enjoyed the Dryer and Washer for about 3 weeks know. We like the ease of operation snd the steam feature on both the washer and dryer. Additionally we enjoy the connection to the wifi and Internet. The only thing that was a bit disappointing is that the controls were hard to see because the machines were short. We then both the pedestals.

We purchased all our new LG appliances almost a month ago. The people who delivered the washer and dryer hooked them up quickly and ran both before leaving. We tried both gas and electric dryers. We read reviews and went to Lowes to see one. My wife liked the controls and the size. Since she has a bad back we also opted for the pedestal underneath it to raise the dryer higher. We found where our clothes get dryer quicker. So we use less heat and time to dry. I didnt want to replace our one yet but now im glad we did.

Terrible experience with this dryer

This dryer after the very first load threw off error codes and the clothes did not dry properly. I would not recommend this dryer in fact we had it returned and they sent us a new replacement dryer. The new dryer was even worse as it would not start at all. All the lights came on but the dryer would not work at all. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS MODEL ESPECIALLY AFTER 2 DRYERS WERE BAD.

Error Codes Stop Dryer with No Blockage In Sight

As with others in the reviews my LG DLEX4000B stops mid-cycle and flashes either a D80 D90 or D95 error code during every single dry cycle. The fix is to clean your vents or undo any obstructions. Well after buying all brand new 4 vent pipes and hood because you cannot get any cleaner than brand new the error code is still appearing during every dry cycle so now I am at a loss. I bought the machine less than a month ago We love the equivalent washer except for the door gasket because it can become a breeding ground for mold but the performance is top notch. The dryer I should have avoided like the insert disease here.

Very Slow and Inconsistent Drying

This LG unit replaced a Fisher Paykel no longer made with the same high capacity. We have been very very disappointed in the slowness and incompleteness of the various drying cycles. In LGs quest for energy efficiency it has manufactured a lesser product for a higher price. The light inside goes off prematurely after it is open. The touchpad with so many complicated settings will likely fail prematurely because electronics and heat do not harmoniously live together much better to have dials and switches. The positioning of the control pad is made for people of short stature not tall people who must hunch over to read and program the needed buttons.

Two defective machines

First brand new dryer I received didnt work. Had it replaced with a brand new machine which also didnt work. Called LG again for help and was told that this is a known issue. Their fix didnt work so we returned our washer AND dryer and purchased a different brand. It was a huge hassle and I wont buy LG again.

This is a really nice and sleek dryer. Has lots of features and super easy push button start and setting indicators. The only reason I gave it a 4 stars instead of 5 is due to a door issue. When I received my first dryer of this model the door would not close and it would not start so I requested a replacement. It was replaced but had a similar issue. We figured out the issue was the screws on the door hinges were not tight enough and the door sensor did not kick on. Once that was fixed though have not had any problems since.

Bought these a month ago to replace some 10yr old units. The washer worked perfect out of the packaging and had no issues. The dryer on the other hand for some reason wouldnt register the door being closed so it wouldnt work. Simple fix for a door switch but still sucks to have a new unit with an issue like that.

Nice but Not Fully Drying in Certain Modes

Love the capacity and the cycle options but 3 of my first 4 loads were not fully dried. One was a steam fresh had to line dry the comforter to finish drying one was a large normal load took out the dry items and ran a timed cycle for15 minutes more and one was a set of queen-sized sheets on permanent press which may have been a poor choice as the elastic on the fitted sheet was still damp. Also found the ThinQ app difficult to set up even though my machines are only 10 feet away from the router with no walls in between and not sure its really helpful except for the diagnosis functionwhich claims my temperature sensor is working properly though the above issues would indicate otherwise. Telephone customer service connection was poor and hung up on me after telling me they were calling on a different line which wasnt true. Also wish the hard copy manual that came with the dryer had all the detailed info on cycle options that exist in the online PDF version.

Quiet with great features

Early Impression is Good

Had this for about 45 days and still getting to know all the features. Great capacity and when paired with the ThinQ app is convenient to know when your items are done. As mentioned we are still getting to know all the features but definitely quiet and quick.

We bought this washer knowing it was fabulous to use in cleaning our clothes as before we moved from Arizona to Montana we had purchased the same set for our home there and loved how well it cleaned our clothes and is so easy to use too We also bought the matching dryer in each place. We didnt want to move our first set as we were concerned about it getting scratched or dented while in the moving van

Great Annoying lint

I bought this dryer 2 weeks ago along with a washer and I have to say it is great. The only problem Im having is the clothes are coming out a little wrinkled and Im sure it is in my settings. Sometimes Im not getting the clothes totally dry. Im sure its me not the dryer Hopefully Ill figure it out soon

They vent design is awful and it gives a false read. The blocked duct comes up home and vent are brand new. They blame you and force you to have someone else come look at the duct before they will come out??? Terrible warranty They do not reimburse you when your duct is not the problem. You spend money and the issue is still on LG. I will never recommend or purchase another LG product again.

This is my first front load washer. On the first use I thought the thing was possessed and I was going to have to call an exorcist. It made a few turns to the right and stopped. Then a few turns to the left and stopped. It took me awhile to figure out that this was normal. What are they going to think of next? Anyway it has lots of predefined cycles which seem to work well. I like all the options to be able to wash longer add steam spin longer etc.. The only thing that Im still trying to get better with is the amount of detergent to use. Instructions state to use the correct amount for a High Efficiency HE washer. Ive only found one detergent which states it is for HE machines exclusively. All other detergents say they are made for HE machines but instructions for amount to use are for non HE machines and so you wind up putting in too much detergent. With a little more practice Im sure Ill get this worked out. Ive had to switch from using Oxiclean powdered bleach to ALL liquid oxygen bleach since the dispenser container on the washer says not to use powder there. Im Still trying to get that converted amount right. Overall I really like this machine and am glad I chose LG. It does a good job of getting my clothes clean and has a nice large tub. I washed a thick Queen comforter in it recently and it worked great. I was not able to do that with my last washer. I also purchased the matching Dryer and stacked them. This gave me more room in my laundry room which is a nice bonus.. I chose LG after doing about a month of online research. I read lots of reviews from owners as well as service repair folks that said that LG washer and dryers are as good as it gets. Ive only owned these machines for a few weeks now but so far I am impressed and would recommend them

Great Features Falls Short

We got this dryer to match the washer. Nothing but great things from everything we saw and read. We got it home have used it for a few month and have all new connections and hookups. The only cycle the works correctly is the timed cycle. Even after following all the directions we could find and reaching out to LG support the sensor drying leaves clothes damp regardless of the cycle. New ducting and nothing blocking. Clean sensor. I cant recommend this dryer. LG says that the dryer

Fast Quiet and Well Insulated

We most often choose the normal setting. It seems like the clothes are dry in nothing flat. I appreciate that this dryer doesnt seem to radiate a lot of heat so the laundry room stays cool. I will use this dryer in summer whereas previously I used an outdoor drying rack.

Got this dryer as a replacement for one that came in the house when we bought it. There are SO Many features-something for every need situation. Weve only really used the normal programmed settings but you can tailor customize to your hearts content. Its only been a month but so far happy with our choice.

Improper installation

I brought this dryer a month ago Feb 24 being excited to have a new dryer not 20+ years old with so many new features. With a new dryer comes new sounds/smells. Well on May 8th the dryer blew up due to improper installation. Currently I have been without a replacement or a date to when I will receive a replacement. This has given me a very poor experience as I havent been able to test all the new features this dryer offers. This cause my entire house to lose power by tripping the main 200amp breaker and almost setting the wall on fire. If it cant be installed correctly cant say I recommend the product.

Amazing dryer

I bought this dryer about a month ago when my old one died. I was so excited about all the features it had. However after it was delivered and I tried to use it I was very upset. I could not get it to make any changes to the cycles I wanted to use. It turns out the machine was too smart for me. However after a lesson from the techs I now love it. It seems one step I missed was to chose the cycle I needed to turn the know a little to the left. That allows me to use the cycle the way I chose to. Thanks LG
