Purchased the portable A/C about 4 months ago. Hurricane Ian messed up our high-rise in North Naples and we have been without central air since last year. The schedule for installing our A/C is months out. We were able to move back in on December 31 2022 and determined that we had to do something before the serious heat showed up. We bought and installed the LG portable in early February pretty easy install as long as you have enough panels for 7 sliding doors. It has worked constantly since then. We asked a lot from this little unit since it is advertised to cool 450 square feet and we have 2000. Its performance has bee flawless so far and we have never had to empty water from the unit the evaporation aspect has been great it just blowsit out with the hot air from the unit. Easy to clean the filters once you figure them out. With our overhead fans also working constantly we have bee able to live in our unit. Were we to stay longer with heat increasing we would have purchased another unit or two. However we are heading back North in a few days. 5 stars

Bought this just in time for a heat wave in my area. Its set up in my relatively small bedroom which means its cooled within ten minutes. If I got a fan blowing into my main living space it should be able to cool both spaces well. Im considering putting it up on a stool or plarform to make draining a little easier. Fits in my tall window alroght though I had to drill new holes in the palstic for it to fit. Im able to sleep while its on though Im a heavy sleeper that likes white noise.

The important issue is the efficiency. I bought it from Best Buy and Best Buy and all websites reported CEER of 11 or 11.5 or something. But the lg website reports CEER of 7.8 or 7.5 or something. This is not acceptable. I called LG and Best Buy multiple times but nobody was responsive. So I guess LG doesnt do good marketing. The next issue is the weight and side its too heavy. Its so heavy that its actually not portable or as portable as many window units. Everything else is fine but with those two issues one might to think twice before buying this

I bought the LP1419IVSM portable ac unit for my condo. The first one that I recieved had an odd compressor issue that LG support were not fully able to understand. Returned that unit and recieved my second one where it has performed like a champ. Installation is fairly easy mainly dealing with trimming the insulation foam to size and potentially having to drill a hole for the locking screws in the plastic window insert for the exhaust if one of the pre-drilled hole do not line up. After that its as easy as turning on your unit and its ready to use. The caddy on the back of the unit is a nice feature to hold the window insert/foam when the unit is stored away. Also a nice feature that the foam isnt adhesive and wraps around the foam insert. When the unit is set to cold it can make similar noise to many comparable products but the dual-inverter compressor allows for variable speed and there is no abrupt shut off with accompanying sounds that other units have it just runs seamlessly and is not excessively loud. Sleep mode and dry mode are very welcome modes. The unit contains a 2 pint water flex zone for when it is using DRY mode. The evaporator does a great job of keeping that dry and Ive been able to run the unit for long durations on dry mode without any intrmerruption. The tank has not filled up and halted the unit from working. A+ in my book. As far as build quality the materials seem to be better than a lot of the competition but not excessively so. There is still a plastic shell but the wheels glide flawlessly even with my two pups that shed like crazy. Nothing to complain about of that front. Warranty is typical of 1 year. I personally opted for a third party extended warranty as Ive seen plenty of other owners have trouble withing a year of the manufacturer warranty expiration. Something for potential owners to consider when making their purchase decisions. If Im not directly interacting with the unit I like using the ThinIQ app. It is super convenient to start the AC up when Im on my way back home and have my house waiting to greet me with welcoming air quality. The remote that comes with the unit Ive found I dont use much but it can operate it just fine. What I find the most limiting is the link of smart devices such as Nest or Echo. You are limited to just being able to turn on or off your unit. I would love to see a full integration as it would greatly increase the quality of use by potentially enabling hands-free. Theres plenty of great features that the unit possesses such as enabling your unit to run the fan to remove and condensation build up whenever you turn it off. The manual is fairly easy to read and guide you through all the features. All in all Ive been happy with this product so far and would recommend it to those who are looking. Many positive features with few downsides. Not perfect but is one of the best currently on the market.

Purchased in July 22 and used for last six months nearly continuously. Unit works as advertised is quiet dual inverter is very energy efficient. Programming via the app is convenient. Single biggest complaint is the condensate drain. Its poorly designed and placed in an awkward location with no resevoir. I had to elevate my unit on a atand to create an adequate gravity drain. On a unit of this overall caliber otherwise this was a disappointment and hopefully is addressed in the future.

I bought this in August 2022. It is the best thing i have done. I cooled my basement which is 1685 sg feet. I kept it at 70 degrees f all summer with no trouble. I realize my basement is cooler underground than upstairs but it still would get around 80 degrees in the summer with nothing but fans circulating the air.. I love this machine

An excellent buy my only suggestion would be to provide a kit so that the exhaust air can be vented through a sliding glass door not just windows. We found a kit for a slider door and it work fine.

Terrific portable ac. Sets up in a minute to a window plug in and whoosh it cools down a hot 95* room to it feeling chilly. Very impressive. Needed to get a separate kit for the sliding glass door leading out to deck in another room as it is floor to ceiling so too high and more panels needed. Overall 5 stars worth every penny as these summers get hotter every year humidity makes it all worse. And it isnt huge or bad looking its quiet fast-just completely satisfied. Thanks for a great product.

We use this to cool our second story master bedroom with loft area. It is extremely effective at maintaining a cool temperature for sleeping when outside temps are well above 100F. We live on the eastern side of cascade mountains in Washington state where the climate is a dry mountain with cold snowy winters and hot dry summers. The two drawbacks are the fan volume can be pretty high to be able to move air throughout our larger space. The volume is not noticeable after a bit and turns into white noise. However when it reaches the setting temperature and cycles off the noises it makes turning off the motor and the abrupt silence is enough to wake you up. The same thing happens again in another 20 minutes when it cycles back on and the fan starts up again. Our solution has been to set the temperate low enough the fan never really turns off all night and to use a blanket. The second change would be a more universal exhaust frame. The issued frame is only for vertical or horizontal sliding windows and not casement or hopper windows. Its not an inexpensive air conditioner seems like an exhaust frame for all window styles is needed. I would buy it again as it is the most reliable brand for portable AC units in my opinion.

It bought this unit to replace an older two hose one intake one exhaust unit of similar style. Ive had this unit now for just over 1.5 years and use it a lot in my home office. During the summer its running 24/7 for weeks on end. Mostly does the job but when the temps get above 100* it struggles to keep up in a 250sqft room. The exhaust hose gets hot so wrap it with insulation to minimize the heat return. On low fan settings it is much quieter than my old unit but nearly the same noise level at full. Would recommend overall.

The unit was able to cool 2000sf down to 75 degrees with an exterior temperature of 102. This house was built in 1939 and has no wall insulation. Window are low tech. I considered installing central air but the portable is an adequate whole house solution. Note: it was only used for 12 days. I never used the remote. Reasonably quiet.

I was excited to get this unit when I needed to add a second HVAC at my temp apartment. Unfortunately it didnt live up to the hype. The unit was quieter than traditional modelsbut didnt deliver the same cold air or cooling power as my smaller and older LG unit. It also stopped cooling about 60 days of use motherboard issue beyond my return date and Ive had no luck getting LG to honor its warranty for repair or return. Sat here like a paperweight during the August end Sept heat. Im frustrated with the cost the poor lifespan and the warranty service.

Rated Average Do To The Following: 1 The discharge hose is poorly insulated and actually adds heat to the room. Had to purchase an insulation kit to rectify the problem. I bought the LG LP1419IVSM air conditioner when my central air conditioner stopped functioning. I have been using the air conditioner for seven weeks and it has functioned flawlessly. I have casement windows and constructed a foamboard piece of installation with an exhaust hose opening to fit where the window screen is located. Once the foamboard piece is installed in place of the screen the exhaust hose is taped over the foamboard opening to vent the hot air from the air conditioner to the outside. The portable air conditioner is a temporary solution until a new heat pump is installed. We have had temperatures reaching the upper nineties and the air conditioner has kept my house cool. I use a fan to blow cool air from the upstairs to the downstairs. The air conditioner is cooling around 950 square feet. Qty 1

This unit is a beast. I have it in a smaller room and it cools the room down in a matter of minutes. Same power/speed with the dehumidifier function. I like that the fan window oscillates up and down to move the air around the room better though you can freeze it in whatever position its in with the touch of a button. Its also fairly quiet given how well it works. I found I could leave it on during a work call using my laptop microphone/speaker with the LG unit only 6 feet away. The only compliant I have is that for those who are sensitive to changes in sound/volume when youre sleeping near it the compressor coming on and off during the night may disturb ones sleep. A white noise machine helped with that.

I purchased this LP Portable air conditioner because living in Florida you need to have a back up plan for cooling. After searching reviews after review this one was the top pick for 2022. Once we received the unit we followed the simple instructions and OMG it works like a dream. It will cool half of our house down if need be if our central air conditioner goes out. For now we wrapped it up and placed it in the closet for further use. It eases my fear of having no cool air during the hot summer months. Worth every cent we spent

Very nice appliance. Looks very nice and remote is intuitive. A little more loud than I would like at medium fan speed but is very quiet at low speed. Cools my sunroom very well
