Cord too short!

the charger works fine, but the cord is waaayyy too short - barely 24 inches. apparently the folks at samsung are unaware that in most american homes, the outlets are at the bottom of the wall, and most tables, desks, nightstands, etc are more than two feet tall. and as another reviewer pointed out, the kitchen counter is not a good place to charge a device. since that's the only one samsung offers for tablets, i have no choice but to buy a different brand.

I just received my Samsung Galaxy Tab A & this travel charging cord came with it. No problems thus far with charging, but the cord is way too short. I have been unable to find a samsung charging cord for this device with a decent length of cord. The only place I can plug this cord in is in the plugs above my kitchen counter. This isn't an option due to the plugs being by the sink & the stove. Anywhere else I would plug this in means that my Samsung sits on the floor. Not good! I have a plug next to my chair & could rest the tablet on my end table, but this cord is too short for that. That would have been an ideal place to keep it off of the floor.

For price, expected true travel charger. Not the case. Can buy better anywhere for less than half the price. Charger is heavy, prongs don't retract, only one input.

Let's face it . . . No charger no tablet. You need a good charger to be able to use your tablet. I have an SM-T700, and I needed a replacement charger. My tablet appears to use up chargers faster than I can eat donuts. This charger appears to be working but started to slow down again. I am using a charger that came with my hearing aids accessories. It has been working better than this charger or several that I purchased from Amazon
I am sure part of the problem is that my tablet is over 2 years old. I hope Samsung comes out with a new tablet soon. I love my Samsung tablet, but it is time for a new one. I give my Samsung SM-T700 5 plus stars.i

The travel charger is a real value but, could have been a winner if it was adaptable as a voltage converter and adapter for foreign travel. That was my original intention.
