I purchased two of Samsung Home theaters with 3D blue ray. The first one I purchased Nov. 5, 2013 was aSamsung HT-F6500 5 Speaker Smart 3D Blu-ray & DVD Home Theatre System . It stopped connecting to the rear speakers. I called Samsung and it was out of warranty. I was disappointed and bought one on ebay a little neweron Sept. 6, 2016.
HT-H6500WM Home Theater System -HT-H6500WM/ZA. This one was a It also stopped connecting with the rear speaker module and this time I tried to obtain warranty service and again they told me that it wasn't in warranty again. I really liked my home theater systems except that they are faulty on the connection to the rear speaker module and are so very hard to try to reconnect following the steps to reconnect . After all of this I am kind of gun shy on purchasing another Samsung Home theater to go with the Samsung Smart 3D Plasma television. Sorry to say that this has left a bad taste in my mouth.

This is a solid system to match with my bedroom TV. Setup was relatively easy as this unit replaced the 2010 wireless rear speaker system that failed a month or so ago. My experience with this product so far is in a word, solid. The one thing I don't like is that I am not able to pair my iPhone 6S with this system.

I'm not a tech pro but I appreciated the color coding with the wiring for set-up. Even though its a 1000 watts it doesn't seem loud to me. I was looking for that club sound in my apartment . But I guess this system will do .. It is just an apartment. But the Movie sound is great!!!

I have had this unit for only few days but right of the bat there are few things that I don't like with the unit. There was no sound coming from the front speakers so while music playing I tried reconnecting the wires to the speakers. I could hear on and off so by trial and error method I connected the wires till I could hear sound. In spite of that I could tell the sound volume is not good, may be because of loose contact. The subwoofer sound level is terrible, you can barely feel the vibration so you know it is working. Before the front speakers were working there was sound coming only from the surround speakers. With the front speakers working, I can hardly hear any sound coming from the surround speakers.
I am going to play around a bit to see if I can get the sound fixed on all speakers if not it is going back to Bestbuy.

I love this sound system. It has incredible sound.
My ONLY complaint is the wires and plugs used.
The speaker wire is incredibly small, not long enough, and uses a weird plug where the wires plug into the main unit and satellite rear speaker unit. This plug may be proprietary.
The speaker wire to the sub woofer is hard wired to the speaker, so you can't replace it.
Since the wires (to front and rear speakers) are not long enough to reach where I wanted the speakers mounted.. and the plug is weird/proprietary, I had to cut the wires, and splice in a piece to lengthen them. I couldn't replace the wires with longer, and a bigger gauge because of the plug used to plug into the main unit (front speakers) and satellite unit (rear speakers).
Please note that I did NOT look for new plugs at the electronic stores, so these plugs MAY be available. If they are, I recommend replacing them with higher gauge.
Bottom line, even with the small speaker wires, the sound is awesome, and very loud!
Why they used such small and short wires, and hardwire the sub... is beyond me.
Hey Samsung... this would've only raised your cost a few bucks tops... why did you skimp on the speaker wire?

Great product for price. Sound quality better than expected. Though rear rear speakers aren't truly wireless, I do appreciate not running wires across a room! Picture quality enhanced with my Samsung TV. Buttons on remote are small.

Every TV, Monitor, and Laptop, that I own, (8 tv's, 4 udhd monitors, and 6 laptops) are Samsung. In fact all of my family phones are Samsung. Having all of these Samsung products influenced my decision to purchase the HT-H6500WM/ZA. I have optical Internet, so my family stopped cable. We now use only Internet options to watch TV. So having the home screen, which allows for the home theater device to link into my home network. The number of apps which are available are astounding. The apps store, actually demonstrated some apps that I had no idea existed. The home theater system, evaluated what content I usually used and recommended additional apps. Now about the actual home theater device, even though it is not a 7 channel audio, the 5.1 system gives a phenomenal surround sound. Really like the ability to alter the volume of each speaker system. The images really look like 4K. All of my blu Ray DVDs resolutions are significantly improved. My previous home theater system, did not take advantage of the resolution of my Samsung big screen. Sporting events that I pipe in from my internet, has saved me money, I would rather watch the game from the comfort of my home, than fight traffic, and poor visualization of the game. Only one small negative, the remote control is maybe 2 inch by 4 inch. This makes it easy to misplace, and difficult to push the buttons I want. But the remote is only small part of the "big picture." Buy this product and you will not be sorry!!!

When I opened the box as expected the components were packaged as all electronics should be. And everything arrived in tiptop shape. It was easy to setup with the written instructions, and the system sounds tremendous. Its got tons of features, It will take some time to learn them all, but that's the fun part for me.

We get great sound and picture from this player.
The only issue we have is that we watch more satellite than dvd or blue ray. We would like the machine to start defaulted to the satellite (HDMI1) but it can't be done.

This unit has plenty of options . Manual makes setup of unit fairly easy. I am realy impressed with the sound quality from the speakers. One movie had a bird chirping that came through on one of the rear speakers. The sound and depth was so ralistic I turned around thinking a bird got in through the window. Picture quality very good. Only con I have is the remote. Its a little on the small side.

our previous dvd surround system died, so we wanted to upgrade to a blu-ray system but with wireless rear speakers. This was the ideal setup. Had a little difficulty getting the rear speakers to communicate with the main unit but a quick reset and everything works fine. Unit was a little more pricey than I wanted to spend but worth the money for the Smart Apps, bluray/dvd, and FM tuner and other accessories. Glad we have this new system.

Terrific system.......gives you a whole new experience when watching anything, especially when watching regular tv programs. Movies on Netflix or on disc really come to life .
Rated 5 stars on everything except design because the digital display is not very bright but other than that one issue I would highly recommend to a friend. Years down the road when I need a new system, I will be purchasing Samsung again!

Overall very happy with the product - but amazed how limiting the speaker wiring is. They include this very lightweight speaker wiring with color-coded plug ins on the end that limit how far you can place the speakers from the unit, and the quality of the speaker wire is really low, lightweight wire. I am circumventing it by running the wires to an in-wall plate with connections for each speaker, then picking up the connection on the other side of the plate with proper wire of a better quality.
Also, you are forced to use the "wireless" rear speakers, which really are NOT wireless. the main unit sends a signal to a wireless hub that is hard-wired to the rear speakers. Same cheap wiring, same cheap plug ins.
So far those are my only complaints - the unit functions well and delivers good sound for the money. What you would expect for an all-in-one product.

Have only had this Home Theater a few days so far but very happy with the sound quality and entertainment capabilities. Got it to replace my 10 year old Samsung HT-X810T/XAA system.
Very happy the built in wifi and integrated smart hub features. Especially since my 3 yr old Samsung smart tv is lacking some of today's newest and more user friendly apps. Adding this system was fast, easy, (due to plug and play) and made for a better overall audio/video experience, through out the entire home. Will be adding a Samsung stand alone speaker in summer for outdoor activities. The 7:1 sound is amazing as well as totally customizable via integrated equilizer and app. Screen mirroring allows me to connect both my smart phone & tablet for even greater as well as more personal entertainment options!
I am a bit disappointed with a few design fails (MHO); 1st its not "wireless", all 5 speakers and subwoofer are wired yet the 2 rear speakers plug into a remote powered hub to eliminate wires acroos any flooring. 2nd The subwoofer itself is small and cheap-looking since its painted particle board as opposed to molded resin and isn't wireless like my 10 yr old HT! 3rd Remote is just to darn small (5"x1.5) resulting in constantly hitting wrong buttons especially the exit key since its too close to the right toggle! Im sure will also result in loosing it in furniture or permanently. 4th doesn't appear to be an easy way to adjust individual speakers while using system. This is frustrating since it forces user to exit out from audio/videos to adjust. Still working on this to maximize 7:1 qualty. Finally, the blue-ray player doesn't seem to track when paused or stopped (I.e. speaker settings) and ends up starting from the beginning each time??
Overall happy with system, great sound and value albeit a few shortcomings. The sound quality is great and the 100 watts is more than needed perhaps even too much.

It took better than a week to get it to connect to my wireless server and it still disconnects itself frequently. I have had absolutely no success getting it to share info from my new computer which is running windows 10. It will not share pictures or music this is very disappointing because it was the main reason I wanted this product. It is supposed to link up to additional speakers wirelessly but I have not tried it yet because it will not share music from my computer so there is no point in buying the additional speakers. The preset sounds are ok and it has plenty of volume. The remote could have been a little bigger as it's difficult to hit the buttons I want to use in particular; fast forward/revers pause and play.

The design is very minimalistic and sleek, looks amazing with my setup. The basic setup is straight forward for beginner HT in a box and novice alike. The wireless satelite speakers are a huge bonus but keep in mind that the rear speakers are connected to a wireless hub which is relatively big if you don't have a place to hide them well. Sounds quality out of box is sub-par at best, needs a lot of tweaking to achieve the right sound you're looking for. Out of box for my taste it sounded a bit muffled and lacked high's. The system's mids and lows were perfect. Tweaking around in the UI's settings can fix that up but it'll take time and patiences. Highly recommended and very rewarding after everything is fine tuned.
