when i first received the product it was okay. i wasn't impressed with the volume of the sound output, but i was at least okay with it. the sound quality was great but the volume was mediocre. now, it doesn't even power up anymore. it didn't even last 1 year. i am seven days shy of the one year warranty from my purchase date; however, when i tried to request support from samsung through my account where i registered my product when i purchased it, they had my product listed out of warranty. i clicked the warranty review link and uploaded my invoice showing my purchase date, but i haven't received a response yet.

Not suitable for music, bass and treble not workin

for movies seems good... but for music is bad, most of the sound comes from the little center channel and the main channels sounds like auxiliary, also the stereo sound gets a little mixed up letting part of the right sound sounding in the center and a bit the left channel and vice versa. adjusting the bass and treble won't make any difference in sound, neither from the remote or the smartthings app(wich lacks some settings like center channel level). hoping samsung fix this in a future firmware update

Soundbar Elevates Viewing Experience

The Samsung Soundbar HW-Q800T arrived in two boxes that were joined together. Unboxing was simple. Everything we needed was included and packed in a logical manner: the Soundbar Q800T with power cable, subwoofer with power cable, HDMI cable, soundbar wall mounts, paper wall mount guide, instruction manual, remote control and 2 triple AAA batteries for the remote. Plug in the subwoofer first. Connect the Soundbar Q800T to the TV's HDMI eArc port using the supplied HDMI cable. Plug soundbar to power. Even if our Samsung Q80R TV was the 2020 model, it paired with the soundbar Q800T almost instantly. We did this without mounting first just to test the soundbar. We disconnected soundbar from power. Next, we used the measuring guide to center-align the Soundbar Q800T when mounting to the wall. Per instructions, the Q800T can be mounted a mere 2 inches below the TV. However, to be able to access controls behind the TV with ease, we mounted it 4 inches below the TV. The TV is mounted higher and mounted the Soundbar is our ear level sitting up. On our matte black wall, the soundbar Q800T is stylish and sleek paired with the Samsung Q80R 65" TV mounted using Samsung's own WMN750 Mini Wall Mount. We also pair the Soundbar with iPhone to listen to podcasts and streaming radio programs. At first, I couldn't get the pairing to work even if the iPhone indicated it was already connected through Bluetooth. Eventually, all I needed to do was to disconnect the soundbar from the power source to reset and pair properly. After that everything was easy and smooth. Adding the Soundbar to the Smart Things App and using Alexa voice control was also straight-forward. Which brings us the sound quality of Samsung Q800T. We are completely satisfied with the sound quality. It is amazing how much fuller and better everything sounds with the Q800T. It makes our same 2020 Samsung Q80R feel like a completely new and improved TV. It is such an enjoyable experience. We tested it re-watching Hamilton on TV and the experience is much more elevated this time around. We tested the Soundbar re-watching The Mandalorian episodes and the explosive sounds and action is at home theatre experience. We keep the Soundbar volume at a 25 average. This is way below the 100-maximum volume. Hamilton (at 35 volume) provided clear, crisp dialogue and lyrics. and The Mandalorian (at 30 volume) provided sound that was full, rich, and detailed. Sound Bar that Rocks the House

This has been the soundbar that I have been waiting for! I love being emerged when watching movies with my husband, but we never had anything that would deliver. This makes the TV so loud and, even with the bass on low, shakes the house. I love watching movies like John Wick now that you can really feel like you are really there. The surround sound is great and crystal clear. We paired the bar to our phones with Bluetooth and can use Alexa around the house with the rest of our speakers instead of other wireless speakers. After a few tries to connect fully, it wasn't too hard to pair and sounds much better than the other speakers we have! We can use the Alexa speakers throughout the house, and it all links up flawlessly! Not being able to go to the movies has been hard, but this makes it just a little easier!

great soundbar with nice features, but with3 mains issues: 1. constant connection issues via bt or wifi or even with alexa 2. doesnt support apple music (even through in other regions it is available https://www.samsung.com/levant/audio-devices/soundbar/3-1-2-ch-soundbar-black-hw-q800t-zn/) 3. q-symphony works only with 2020 tv models if no firmware update would be available soon, i would return and not buy it

The q800T Soundbar is amazing. While many times I know people judge a soundbar on just sound, this marvel brings so many other aspects to the table. The availability of Alexa on the soundbar is something that you don't really think you need, but after you use it you know you cant go back to one without. The 3.1 setup does an outstanding job of giving you a full experience in a small package. The setup was very simple and straight to the point. When you add the rear speaker system, it truly feels like a mini theater setup, and there is nothing wrong with that! Music playback is amazing whether it's from the TV or Bluetooth. I played some jazz on this to truly get a representation of the high and lows of the speakers, and it didn't fail. I truly felt like I was in a concert hall. I truly can't think of any downfalls to this soundbar and would recommend it to anyone looking for theater quality sound and fun!

I'm not one to notice the difference in things but when my husband swapped out our sounds bars I was blown away. We had been missing out with our previous soundboard. The Dolby Atmos on this thing is awesome. We have been playing Christmas music non-stop with our girls. The Bluetooth connects easily to our phones. I haven't been able to figure out the tap to sound but we really don't need it. When watching movies the subwoofer rumbles big time. You won't be disappointed by this soundboard!

i got this to go along with my q80t tv. i got the 850 version which includes the rear surrounds. i got it all connected and it sounded so good! but after a day i began noticing the audio dropping out from the rear surrounds and the subwoofers. i spent 2 hours on the phone with samsung support who were unable to solve my issues. i got another unit, and now i'm having the same issues.

We all miss going to movie theaters. The sound, the experience and of course the concessions! While we might miss it, it does not mean we need to miss out. Samsung delivers that the sound and feel of the theater all from the safety of your home. The clarity and control they provide makes it so easy, even my tech challenged Mom can do it. The voice control is the best! You don't have to search for the remote that fell between your blanket or get up off the couch, it's all right there with a few commands! The brilliant quality makes the Q800T the right choice economically for the experience. Year ago I might have been satisfied with turning up the volume on the TV, NO MORE! Once you see and feel the difference, you will wonder why you waited so long! Now only if Samsung can nail down the theater popcorn and slushies!

Samsung HW-Q800T 3.1.2ch Soundbar w/ Dolby Atmos / DTS:X & Alexa Built-in (2020) has fantastic support for audio content over its HDMI ARC port. With the HDMI ports, you can use the bar as a hub between different devices, such as your Blu-ray player or game console. This soundbar has a simple interface. Behind the metal grille, there's a small screen that indicates the volume level and the input you're currently using. We like the red dot feature that indicates the system is muted. Our kids sometimes mute my favorite shows. On top of the soundbar, there are touch-sensitive buttons. You can turn the bar on/off, adjust the volume, turn the mic on/off, and use the multifunction button to change inputs and enable Alexa voice assistant. The Alexa voice assistant wasn't simple to configure at first, but we contacted Samsung support and it was a user issue on our end. We also received tips from support to use our Samsung HW-Q800T 3.1.2ch Soundbar w/ Dolby Atmos / DTS:X & Alexa Built-in to the fullest potential. The Samsung HW-Q800T soundbar has a great build quality. You won't be disappointed.

The great and the not so great...

This is my first time posting a review on a sound bar and it's one of the first I've had. It's a really good sound bar but a bit expensive. I do enjoy having the loud surround sound for action packed movies and music, but for an average show, it can be a bit underwhelming. I usually have it set to around 25 and my Xbox One passes through the HDMI port, that part works well, but when it comes to audio that doesn't have explosions, it didn't sound as great. I stil, was never able to clearly figure out how to use Alexa. I wish they allowed you to use a mic in the remote and a button on it to activate Alexa, but the remote doesn't contain that. If you're looking for something that packs a punch for explosions and action packed movies or that can be used to blast Christmas music at a party while you dance your bottom off, this may be the sound bar for you. I just wish the interface with Alexa was a little more user friendly and the sound was a little better on non-action packed things... But overall, if you want a good sound bar and can afford this baby, I say go for it!

the soundbar and subwoofer connected without an issue. sound one of the biggest issues i had with my old sound system was being able to hear dialogue on network tv shows. the great news is that q800t does a great job of providing clear dialogue. the surround features of the q800t are truly impressive. the acoustic beam truly provides an immersive listening experience. so far, i am totally pleased with the q800t. conclusion i am very satisfied with the samsung hw-q800t soundbar and would definitely recommend it to anyone in the market. #samsungsoundbarinsiders

Good quality sound. needs the bugs fixed

on day 1 when i 1st bought and used the soundbar, it worked great! i was able to use spotify then for some reason the next day, alexa stopped responding altogether. i spent hours on the phone with amazon/samsung support, but got nowhere. now it only plays music on amazon prime music and is saying 'spotify is not compatible with this device'. i have had to restart my soundbar several times because alexa stops responding or no music gets played on request. when the soundbar is working properly, it is amazing and one of my favorite purchases i've made in a while, but the bugs really need to be fixed with the voice assistant, because it is driving me nuts. if it is not fixed soon, i think i will take it back and get a sonos.

This soundbar was definitely worth upgrading to. The setup was seamless and the controls are very straight forward. It provides for a theater like sound experience in the comfort of your own home. The adaptive sound feature pairs nicely with a QLED tv. The wifi connection helps for those setups where you prefer less cabling to be used. I will say that the surround sound experience was a little lacking for me so I purchased the Samsung SWA-8500S 2.0 Speaker System. This rear speaker kit helped completely immerse the room and provided a richer sound. This was especially displayed when watching sports or movies with a lot of action sequences in them. Overall if you're looking to improve your sound experience this soundbar is a great value at a reasonable cost.

The Samsung Soundbar Q800T is amazing! The sound quality is fantastic...I can't emphasize that enough. If you register the Soundbar on the Smart things app, which you should do for all your Samsung products, you can control you audio in depth from you phone or device you have the app download on. You also could set up Alexa in the app too. Setting up of the Soundbar was super easy only two pieces and 3 cords. As soon as the power cord was plugged in and the Soundbar was powered on the the surround sound began it was great. You can change the difference sound types there is standard, game, surround and adaptive. The Soundbar is small in size the subwoofer is a bit bigger but again fantastic sound. Time to put some music on and have a scary movie marathon. I highly recommend this Samsung Soundbar!

We have been looking for a soundbar to use with our television on our back patio for a while now. Sometimes it is noisy back there and the TV speakers are not enough. We decided to give this Samsung HW-Q800T Soundbar w/ Dolby Atmos & Alexa Built-in a try. Samsung is a brand we use a lot and we also have several Alexa devices set up throughout our house so it seemed like the logical choice. We have been having it for about a month now and so far, we are very happy with our decision. It came packaged very well. Setup was easy right out the box. Once the soundbar and sub were both powered up (make sure to power on the soundbar first as it is the main source), they automatically paired. Getting Alexa to work with our other devices was a little bit of a challenge. We did not update the firmware before trying to set it up. That is a necessary step for compatibility. Having built-in Alexa is probably one of my favorite features. I love being able to ask Alexa to play music and have such amazing sound quality with deep lows so easily! The Q800T also has Bluetooth built-in. This makes it easy to listen to music from my phone. We also like using the ARC input on the soundbar which allows us to use almost any other remote we have to adjust the volume. Once all hooked up we were ready to put the soundbar to a challenge. First things first, download the Samsung SmartThings app. It makes it easier to adjust the sound settings. There are four different surroundsound presets built in (Surround Sound Expansion, Game Pro, Standard, and Adaptive). Each one offering a different sound for room environments. This comes in handy to quickly boost the dialogue of a movie or just simply listen to music. You can switch sound mode with the push of one button instead of having to go in manually to make those adjustments. This Samsung sound bar comes with a front display that easily displays the source input and also helps with seeing different sound modes. It comes with rubber feet on the bottom to remove vibration when just sitting on a flat surface. If you choose to wall mount this sound bar, Samsung has included wall brackets and a template to ease this process. It included a quick start guide that makes the installation simple and straight forward. The subwoofer enclosure has a side-loaded subwoofer with a rear facing port. This makes it perfect to load in the corner of any room. This Samsung HW-Q800T soundbar is easy to set up and delivers great sound!

samsung never does anything halfway. if you're familiar with their products, you know they pretty much throw everything but the kitchen sink in their products and this soundbar is no different. this model uses a 3.1.2 speaker setup and flexes its muscle by producing dolby atmos sound with dts-x decoding. for those that aren't up on your sound jargon, that's simply break down to it is really, really good.

Perfect Sound Quality from Compact Design

It was a pleasure to see how compact and nearly discreet the soundbar is when compared when placed under the TV. I was hesitant at first as I have an open area design in the living room and high ceilings. Setting up was extremely simple as I use ARC for audio out of the TV and all it needed was to connect power and the HDMI. It recognized the output via ARC and good to go! The wireless subwoofer was already linked so it simply needed to be plugged in and it connected immediately. I have gone through shows in various audio formats and it is perfect in most areas. The only odd output that has been experienced is a YouTube video that seems to be stereo but for some reason encoded surround causes a slight distortion from the delay in audio. Setting the delay to 0 mostly fixes the issue. Movies and shows have crisp, room filling sound even from a distance now that the Christmas tree is up! =P All in all, a great little package and perfect sound coming from it. Looking forward to doing more and sharing the experience! I will add photos down the road as we come up for air!

Amazing Sound

This soundbar and subwoofer combination has really upgraded my TV viewing experience. I love how easy it was to set up and how it Bluetooths right to my TV so I don't need to run any messy cords to my TV. I can also play music and videos from my phone and tablet using Bluetooth through the soundbar. The subwoofer has deep bass without drowning out the voices and other sounds on my TV. The sound coming out of the soundbar is crisp and clear and makes you feel like you're right in the room with the characters in the movie. I love the audio controls that are mounted on the soundbar itself that is a really handy function when the remote gets lost int he couch. This soundbar is so user friendly and easy to navigate and use. It also syncs up with my Samsung Smart Things app on my phone so I can also control it with my phone.

If you like a small profile this is definitely the soundbar for you. I upgraded from a soundbar and it was almost twice the size. The sound is crisp and the subwoofer has great bass. Set up was easy if you have ever hooked up a soundbar before. A nice addition was the hooks to mount it to the wall, I didn't use them but it was nice to have them nonetheless. The only gripe I have is that I feel like my old one did atmos audio better and it was just as clear but louder. I also have a syncing issue with some streaming services that I need to hammer out. All in all this is a great soundbar, especially for the price, my previous one was a little over a grand. I live in a Samsung ecosystem and they haven't let me down yet.

First impressions: the box was definitely a bit heavy. This sound bar is definitely deeper/thicker compared to others that I have used. The relatively large subwoofer adds weight as well. The angled power connectors cost more than 1/2 star from me. The angles make for more limited choices of which sockets I can use on power strips. Glad to see a digital display showing the input name, and volume level. That automatically dims and hides so it doesn't intrude on viewing pleasure. Setup for this soundbar was easy, as simple as plugging in the power and using the digital connection that I was previously using. When I tested in the same location as I was using the previous Samsung soundbar I was able to use the same remote control setup. The design is not bad, though device is beefier than the earlier Samsung soundbar, with beefier speakers in this model compared to the earlier model. The Woofer with this model is also considerably bigger and heavier. This soundbar looks really nice but won't so easily sink into the background. Sound quality that is produced from this soundbar is really good. Clear, consistent, and smooth on the variety of sounds that I pushed through it (movies, sports, news, Saturday Night Live, and more). All quite pleasant to listen to up and down the range of volume levels that I asked for. Configuring the device to use Amazon Alexa requires the use of the Samsung SmartThings application. I don't like needing yet another application in order to configure or use this feature. I was disappointed in the manual and the general lack of highlighting the "Alexa" integration. Honestly, this is the kind of feature that merits its own page or separate manual to go with the main documentation. Connecting to (or from) Mobile devices is pretty simple and worked as I would have expected. This device is one that I'd be really disappointed in if I couldn't give it high marks in Ease of Use. This device hits all of the marks in that area and leaves me quite pleased. I didn't want to forget to add that I really, really, really want to add the Samsung SWA-9000S Rear Wireless Speaker Kit to go with this soundbar. I wanted similar with my older Samsung soundbar (HW-K450 2.1 Channel 300 Watt Wireless Audio Soundbar (2016 Model)) but never did get around to ordering and adding same. Wow! What can i not say about this soundbar? This thing has blown away my expectations. Our previous soundbars you could never get the right balance of sound to voice. I no longer have to turn up the volume when voice is coming through and down when it's just music. The Samsung acoustic beam is flawless! While I cannot vouch for the Q-Symphony I can say that this thing works perfectly with my 8 Series UHD. The subwoofer is huge and puts out a lot of power! Sync perfectly with Smartthings for use with streaming music off of my phone. The design is sleek and the actual soundbar fits perfectly under my tv. I love this thing! Wish I would have gotten it sooner!

I finally got the amazing latest 2020 tech sound bar from samsung bar with separate subwoofer too. This is going to be exciting to listen to music or amazing movies in my home theater. This is the exact thing required when we binge watching movies or series on netflix,youtube, hulu and other services. The soundtrack is good as well for non action movies too. The sub-woofer unit produces a loud and punchy output. The bass is also very tight. The sound bar detects Dolby atoms and DTS content automatically. During action movies you feel the chopper is coming from the top, that's how precise is the sound. There is no lag in the movie sounds.Its fits well for small spaces and larger spaces as well. The pop , rock , smoothing music sounds great from the sound bar. We actually enjoy a lot of music at home. This is good for it. This is great for gamers as well. The sound is so seductive. I wouldn't go back to any other sound bar again. The sound bar comes in black color which blends in when connected with my projector. The look is classic and edgy which fits good with the new TV too. Its more functional and user friendly for new users as well. The installation is pretty easy and the remote makes the connectivity more simpler. The sound bar has power , bluetooth button and volume controls too but the remote makes things easier. I have tried the alexa feature. Its ok. Overall, The Samsung Q800T is quite the performer when it comes to the audio quality. It improves the movie experience at home. Great for games as well. It comes with a great subwoofer which doesn't disappoint. So your looking for a great good buy soundbar in 2020 presented by samsung. Impressive Immersive Sound

Well, this is disappointing to be limited to 2500 characters! Having worked on many full-room A/V setups with "true" suerround sound, and worked through the placement and balancing of speakers at different parts of the room, I certainly had my doubts about how a single soundbar placed under the TV would possibly compete. I'm happy to say that I have been surprised and pleased! The soundbar and subwoofer only "require" power cables as they can use Bluetooth or WiFi. HDMI eARC is a good option to use though! There is an option for purchasing rear speakers, but the way the Q800T seems to balance itself and play off of the acoustics in the room really doesn't leave much missing. Even sitting off-center, the surround sound was impressive. Being able to handle Dolby Atmos as well as DTS-X, preprogrammed "height channels" can be utilized from incoming sound. I've found though, that the "Adaptive" capabilities of the soundbar are really good too! Even on older TV shows, it was able to provide rich sound and separate dialog from background noise. I was not able to take advantage of teh Q Symphony feature though, as my TV is an "older" model (2020-or-later needed). Maybe that is my next purchase! As a 3.1.2 channel system, it is able to offer the standard Right-Left-Center, plus subwoofer, plus two vertically-oriented channels to create teh completely enveloping sounds. It arrives in a single L-shaped box, and although the delivery folks did not seem to deal well with strange shaped packages, it was insulated well and came out unscathed. It weighs just under 30 pounds all told, and fits very nicely under the TV (soundbar) and off to the side of the room (subwoofer). Much nicer than having cables all over the place! I only briefly played with the Alexa integration, and it seems interesting, but I am more old fashioned I guess with my TV system. Give me a remote (albeit fancy multi-function one) to control things rather than Alexa. I'm sure others will enjoy that feature as well though! Overall, this has been a pleasant installation and functional piece of equipment. It went in very easily and has worked flawlessly in all of the tests that I've done. It has been nice to have an easy-going method of integration compared to some of the multi-day installations I've seen in the past! Definitely would recommend!

First impression: It is a nice soundbar and subwoofer to see. You notice that it is of high quality, and a salient detail: there is a small display behind the grill on the right side so that you can choose the (menu) options. In addition, the subwoofer is wirelessly connected and the soundbar is connected to the network via WiFi. Sound quality: Sound can be quite loud and due to the different modes, including Dolby Atmos, the surround feeling is enhanced, but I do miss the real sound from behind. Unfortunately, I do not find the layer very present, not even at the maximum setting of the subwoofer, but I am used to heavier (5.1 / cinema) sound. In any case, it is a lot better than the standard sound from the Samsung Q800T QLED 8K TV. Additional functions: As mentioned, the soundbar has Dolby Atmos. Sound comes from the front and from above. In addition, there is a microphone to use Alexa, very handy! Conclusion: It is a nice and nice soundbar that should have been supplied as standard with the Samsung Q800T QLED 8K TV. Sound is neat, but it lacks bass while the subwoofer should be capable enough. The extra functions such as Dolby Atmos and microphone make just the difference compared to cheaper third-party soundbars.

This is a great upgrade from the Samsung HW-F450 I've had for the past 7 years. I had purchased the Q8FN 2 years back and I decided that this caliber of tv should have a better sound quality to match it. I love the design, it's so simple and clean. It also fits right in between the tv legs, which is a huge plus. Solid black metal mesh with a small plastic trim on top to control the input volume and mic for Alexa. Turning off the mic does leave a small red light on and during the day it's barely noticeable but at night its somewhat noticeable during darker scenes. If you don't want to deal with the red light just don't link Alexa to it. It's easy to hook up to your tv with the HDMI cable they provide you. The tv instantly recognizes it thru eARC and syncs up pretty well. You can also control it via your Samsung phone thru SmartThings and its quite easy to set your basic bass, treble and woofer adjustments. The dialogue is so much clearer with the integrated center speaker. I haven't had a chance to play with the equalizer but out of the box, the Dolby Atmos experience is pretty decent. It's not 7.1 surround sound quality but for the price you pay you get a decent experience. The bass is really good for being just an 8" woofer, I have it set at 2 and I find it plenty of bass. I was a bit disappointed to learn that the Q symphony doesn't work with anything older than the 2020 QLED models. Maybe Samsung will roll out updates to give all their QLED owners the same experience. I can only imagine how much better it is with Q symphony. Overall, I am happy with the sound and quality of the Q800T soundbar but I'd be happier if they roll out an update to their older QLED owners for Q symphony.

This soundbar came in some super simple packaging. It is heavy, but there are handles to help. Unboxing took about 3 minutes set up took another 5 minutes. Fire up the Samsung Home app and tell it to search. Once found you are good to start on the settings. Several connections make this possible. HDMI, FIBER, WIFI and BLUETOOTH. I used fiber to connect and my Samsung QLED found it and synced it without hassel. The thing I did was crank this bad boy up! I used Rush Live in Rio on Blu Ray to test. I wanted to experience concert and Blu Ray quality. It truly feels like you in immersed in the front row. The surrounds you and the music is right there. You. An hear stage right and left with beautiful minds and highs. The subwoofer completes the experience. The app allows for some tuning but this soundbar doesn't need much. Just as equal are regular over the air shows. I recommend this highly.

Everything comes nicely packaged and protected with form fitting Styrofoam. The total package is surprisingly heavy, the sound bar weighing almost as much as the subwoofer. Each component has a solid and refined feel to it, which can only be expected from Samsung. the only item that is light is the user manual, which I felt only scratched the surface of the capabilities of the sound bar. The instructions were very short and did not contain enough information to unlock the full theater experience and audio potential. Also, if your TV does not have the eARC HDMI connection, you are only able to access about 75% of this systems capabilities. Once connected, and make sure you adjust the audio settings within each streaming app/device, you will experience sound like how the director's of the content intended. Vocals are clear, and the bass is punchy. The different sound settings creates a unique experience based on the content. Such as Gaming Mode, really puts you in the middle of the action, and Stadium makes you feel like the sound is coming from every direction. I can not comment on the Alexa feature, since I currently do not use the feature in my household.

For those that aren't up on your sound jargon, that's simply break down to it is REALLY, REALLY good. While it could be considered a bit pricey, once you see how the soundbar and subwoofer effortlessly turn your normal watching habits into theater quality events, I guarantee you'll change your thought process immediately. Design The Q800T is 38.6 by 2.4 inches, so it's not much different than most soundbars you may research. With it's low profile design it should fit perfectly in front of all new generation Samsung TV's as well as most TV's period. The design, while small, pumps out the sound so effortlessly with more drivers than ever before. The subwoofer is a beast! Weighing in at almost 22 lbs, you definitely won't feel cheated by this piece of equipment. So versatility is definitely a plus for this one... Setup & Sound Simplicity is everything, especially in 2020, and this is probably one of the most one of the simplest setups of any product I've ever had. It honestly took me 8-10 min to get everything setup, and about 13-15 with the SWA-9000S surround sound speakers. It works effortlessly with the Samsung SmartThings app and linking this to your TV, music, and other electronics will definitely be worth it in the long run. The connections are some of the most premier on any soundbar in that they support 4k/60 and all HDR settings. The sound is excellent. Straight to the point and describes it to a T. With help from the Acoustic Beam 2.0 technology, sound fills the room and you would swear that you had 6-8 speakers in the room working in a cohesive unit. As well the 4 different sound modes allows for you to have an immersive experience. Whether it be Game, Surround Sound, Adaptive, or Standard; each serves a purpose and no two sound alike. The Q-symphony which allows your QLED to sync with the soundbar for a better sound experience doesn't fail as well. I truly couldn't imagine having another soundbar with my Samsung Q80T. Conclusion What can I say, this setup is amazing. It delivers a great experience no matter what you're listen to and in every way I would recommend it. You pay for what you get, and with this you get excellence.

This is my first sound bar to own. I was a little skeptical about having just a bar and a subwoofer. When I recieved it it came in a big L shape box. When I got it out the bar is 39'' long and 4.5" wide. I have a 55'' inch sony bravia placed on a tv stand. I had to push back the TV as much as possible to fit the soundbar on front of the TV. If you have your TV wall mounted it works much better and less clutter. The instructions are pretty simple with diagrams. I connected My sound bar using HDMI cable from the bar to the back of TV using the ARC HDMI connection, (ARC is Audio Return Channel, or ARC, uses a single HDMI connection to send audio from a TV to the sound bar or AV receiver). I was a little worried about the integration with a SONY TV. I turn on the TV, changed the sound settings from TV speakers to external speakers and automatically the sound bar turned on and amazing sound. You can hear the details of the high definition movies. Its just amazing how a sound bar and a subwoofer sound. It completely worth it. I dont need all the extra cabling for extra speakers. You can connect your phone via blue tooth as well and still great sound and easy connectivity. In the instructions you can tap your samsung phone and it will automatically pair , I tried it but didnt work. I dont think you even need to do it since its soo easy to pair. The subwoofer is a little bulky, I wish it was a little smaller. I dont know if that would affect your bass sounds though. The remote control is sleek and simple. I just use my TV remote control for the volume. I highly recomment it.

This System includes a sound bar and a wireless subwoofer and has one of the best sounds I have heard coming out of a bar yet. The soundbar itself, at 3 plus chanels in Dolby, sounds amazing complements our QLED TV perfectly. It was super easy to set up and was not hard to sync with the TV. It has built-in voice control with Amazon Alexa and the Q-Symphony feature allows bar to synchronize specifically with Samsung QLED TVs to create a fuller soundstage which it sure does. The Sound bar also has drivers for overhead effects a dedicated center channel for clear dialogue and an Acoustic Beam technology helps deliver panoramic sounds synced to the on-screen action. The Adaptive Sound mode enhances voice clarity at low volumes, I love the Game Mode Pro mode because it boosts game sound effects and I can stream live music that sounds like a full ob sound system because of the Dolby Digital and DTS decodingbuilt-in Wi-Fi. The 8" sub woofer is beautiful!! It pushes out 160-watts through the built-in amplifier, with bass-reflex enclosure that delivers powerful bass responses, as in it sounds like someone is pulling up to the house type of responses. It also connects wirelessly to sound bar which means you can place it anywhere you wish.

Q800T Rocks the House (Literally)

My wife had wanted a surround sound system for years, and I have been avoiding going through setting up a surround sound system and all its wires - for years. Alas, enter the almost wireless Q800T soundbar! It took me longer to unbox the thing than it did to get it set up, connected, and playing - and the unboxing took just a few minutes! The subwoofer pairs to the bar as long as you follow the instructions and turn the bar on last; this took about thirty seconds in total. The sound instantly became louder and crisper, just watching regular TV. Of course, we had to amp it up and put on John Wick, as Google told us that it is one of the best movies to really test out surround sound on, and It did not disappoint. We turned up the bass, and it shook the house. The soundbar made us feel like we were in our own movie theater, emersed in the movies just like my wife has always wanted. Pairing the Q800T with a TV that can really push its limits using Dolby and pairs everything together. The connection to the TV using ARC means I only need one additional cable beyond the power cable and keeps my setup looking extremely clean. When we go to clean the house, we just turn on the music via the TV and rock out. We don't have to spend the first 15 minutes trying to find one of our five portable speakers we misplace all the time and this sounds much better. All in all, the wife loves it, movies sound fantastic, regular TV is much more precise and crisp, and the bass can hit hard if you want it to or tone it done if you don't. Fantastic soundbar from Samsung and works incredibly well with the Q90 TV series too!

A Sound Experience Above the Rest

Wow, the second you turn on the TV with this sound bar you are blown away! The wireless connection features are a dream come true! No more running cables everywhere it makes your room look clean and sleek. I connected this with my Samsung QLED TV and from they linked perfectly. Tons of awesome features that you would expect from a top of the line surround system including Dolby Atmos & DTS:X. This will be a perfect addition to your smart home collection with the integrated Alexa. Some cool features like tap to play from phone to soundbar was like the icing on the cake. Overall, very impressed with the soundbar and would highly recommend.

I bought a QLED TV last year, and have used it with two front facing speakers and a receiver. This is quite the step up. The seamless integration with my TV including the built-in voice assistant is only adding to my adoration of the Samsung ecosystem. Having all my different Samsung products work through the smartthings app is awesome, I can literally control most of the electronics in my house from my phone. After setting it up below my wall hung TV, I haven't had to do anything else; it truly sounds like surround sound without the extra speakers (and wires). I was skeptical about Atmos, until I tried this, and now I want it in every other room, really changes things with movies that support it. I love the clean bass it produces as well, that makes it well suited for everything I've thrown at it, from video games, and block buster movies, to bass heavy music, and don't underestimate the importance of that eARC connection. I'm planning on getting at least 2 more of these for my other rooms. Bravo Samsung.

From the first perspective, the box when it arrived is heavy and bulky. As you unpack and begin setting up. The magic comes out, packing a powerful theatre sound system. The Soundbar is quite light despite the large size. The Subwoofer is quite heavy, it's well designed and powerful. I set it up in my own room, as shown on some pictures below. I believe the main idea for use of this equipment is for a living room. Nontheless, it's perfect setup for me. My TV volume wasn't enough. And now, the Samsung HW-800T Theater audio experice is just superb! I have it hooked to my TV and used the HDMI cable connection, because of my TV is capable of supporting the eARC option audio through HDMI and it's fantastic! Crisp rich sound and added a little bass in the mix with the Subwoofer, which makes the room tremble. Absolotuley astounding! I game quite often and with our current restrictions, the perfect excuse to game haha. With half of the sound and the sounds were so natural. Does not bother the ears nor gives you a headaches. The Dolby Atmos and DTS make the sounds so vivid. From a far, you can barely notice the 3.1 sound. As you get closer you can distiguish but the looks and sound of the Soundbar are just marvelling and get hypnotized by it. When I am not using the TV to game or watch Netflix, I decided to hook it up to my laptop via the Bluetooth connection. Viola! it's quite simple. Even when a put laptop to sleep and wake it up, I love the fact it auto connects to the Soundbar. In fact, as I am typing this, the sound is excellent! I really enjoy playing audio from the original source. However, this Soundbar and Subwoofer are keeping me very happy. Also, I connected my smartphone to steam music, it definitely is in a whole new level. I can blast it and hear it clearly all over the house. The Soundbar has a simple LCD panel on the right side, which lets you view with mode is in, the volume level, and the bass level. Only turns when the control is in use for and when it is recognizing the connection type. When I turn on my gaming system, which automatically turns on the TV and hence the Soundbar, just perfect! The Soundbar does beyond expectation. I could not believe it would equal a home theater sound experiece, like equipment from the past. However, it's modern, sleek, and quite powerful. The remote control is simple, a whole different feel. The volume knobs for the soundbar and subwoofer are very responsive. Easy to use and love the design overall.
