Words cannot describe how frustrated I am with this sorry device. I formerly had an other brand of tablet which after several years finally had to be replaced and I thought this Galaxy A8 would be a fitting replacement but after the first month, I found that I was wrong. The tablet crashes, I get onscreen pop ups when I'm trying to do other stuff or read articles or watch videos. Often the apps lock up. One word that comes to mind is "garbage "

When I first received the tablet, I was totally impressed. Everything about the tablet seemed wonderful. However my infatuation with said tablet did not last long, actually 3 months. O e day it was working perfectly and the next if sent completely haywire. When I turn it on now, the screen flashes by in various co!ors. Can't get it to stop. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A SM-T350 8.0 is a quality built tablet for a great price that is affordable ! I have had my Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 for almost 3 years & it has been an amazing tablet, I have used it pretty much daily since it was gifted to me for my birthday 3 years ago & I have had no issues with it ! It is smooth & fast for the price, I haven't had much luck with mid-grade tablets from other brands, I pretty much stick with Samsung now when it comes to Android Smartphones & Tablets & Smartwatches b/c I have had little issues with Samsung's Galaxy products, I own 15 different Samsung Galaxy products & I love them all ! I also have the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0's big brother the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 SM-T550 & I love it as well, they are both running Android's latest Nought update which has only made them run smoother & faster than before, I mainly use my tablets for browsing & reading & research more than anything & I use my Samsung Galaxy S8+ for most of the heavy usage things but sometimes I do use my Tab A 8.0 &/or my Tab A 9.7 for more heavy usage things like downloading & uploading & they work good they just aren't as fast as my S8+ but they work smoothly without any issues ! My only complaints about the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 is the device's battery life, the battery life doesn't last as long as it should, it doesn't last anywhere near as long as I expected it to & it takes awhile to fully charge, it takes about 2hours maybe q little longer for it to fully charge from 0% to 100% ! The battery life should be better, much better, it should last at least a full day with heavy usage, my Tab A 8.0's battery life only lasts about 12-13hrs with heavy usage, it will last a day half to 2 days with light usage & with little to no usage it will last 2 & a half days but with heavy usage the battery doesn't last it drains fast, too fast especially since the Tab A 8.0's big brother the Tab A 9.7's battery life is extraordinary, the 9.7's battery life will last a day & half with heavy usage & it will last 3 days with light usage & with no little to no usage the 9.7's battery life will last over 4 days which is way longer than it's little brother the 8.0 so there's no reason why the 8.0 doesn't have a better battery life ! I have no other complaints about the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 though, besides the battery life not lasting long enough & it's charging time the device works great ! It is a great tablet that comes at an affordable price !

I bought this to work with and it drops internet constantly. I have other devices connected to my internet and no problem. I sent it back to Samsung to be checked and they sent it back with a note of what was done and all should be ok. Well, same issues as if nothing were done. I bought this tablet for work but it has cost me time and lost productivity. There are many tablet makers and I wish I would have chosen a different one as there are many comparable for the price. and I have read of many same / similar issues with this tablet (Samsung Galaxy S-2 tablet). I had to write this review on another of my devices since the Galaxy S-2 tablet lost the connection 3 times in 30 minutes prior to this writing. :( I am in the process of sending back to Samsung for the second time this week and will update this post with results.

I am on my 3rd tab A. Two 7 inch and the latest 8 inch. Love it EXCEPT no matter how careful I am with the charging port they have all lasted about a year and then somehow inside they all stop working. I was just going to get a charging pad and not worry about it but - Oh they are not equipped to do that either. Don't buy this product until they fix the charging problem. Or plan to buy one every year.

I love the graphics. Very clear and sharp. My last galaxy tab had port issues where the charging plug went in. But so far no charging issues or black or white screens so far. Overall I am very pleased with this tablet. The size is exactly what I wanted to drop in a coat pocket. I will admit that this is the very first tablet I've ever purchased so I'm not as experienced as many others might be when it comes to rating actual value or features. This being said, all I can do is offer my experiences and why I feel this purchase was a bit of a let-down. First disappointment, I found that it only had 1.5 gigs of ram and it's slow to open and run some apps. Ram is cheaper today than it's ever been, would have been nice if they would have invested the extra few bucks and put in a 4-gig stick? All programs and apps should run MUCH faster. 2nd disappointment. For some reason, when I connect my drone controller to this tablet, the USB action popup comes up on the screen, but then starts to flash on and off. Even if I'm quick enough to select the option to 'always allow' option, it keeps popping up and then disappearing so I can't use it with my drone. This was the main reason I bought this item. :/

The original OS and firmware that comes with the Galaxy Tab A 8.0" must be incredible, but you can't update it. Any attempt to update invariably fails. Support is no help with this. Cannot recommend.

It's been a nice tablet so far. No complaints. Wished my carrier would help me with a nice hot spot so I'm able to watch movies games etc easier.. fixed income n all can't afford it. May not live long enough to really get to enjoy it... sev. Copd. Only few months left they say. GOD willing I'll get a great hotspot not really get to enjoy the new galaxy tab A like it should be enjoyed. Hopefully

Got this to replace a cheapo tablet that was slow as molasses. What a difference with this Samsung Tab A. Very speedy and reliable, plus I got it at a fantastic price. My only complaint is that it is only 16 GB, but at least it has a memory card slot so that I can upgrade the memory. Very happy with my purchase.

I got my Samsung Tab A's on sale great price got one for me and one for my husband so far they work great bought 128GB memory for them and covers to protect them so far very pleased. I am pleased with Samsung. I am a Samsung person I recommend them over the other brand. I have Samsung notebook, phone and 2 Tab A Tablets thanks Samsung!
