Reset and customer service a joke

just purchased this. set it all up. somehow the pin is not working...i guess i could have messed it up (twice seems so unlikely). anyway, will suffer with re-doing it if only i could reset the thing! i've tried 5 million times to do it as i see on-line and as the customer service rep (which only took my 15 hours to find, and was clearly not us based) told me too. joke, joke, joke. none of it worked. the real bummer is that i was so psyched because the set up went so well and i had it doing exactly what i wanted. seriously???? it's going back, i'm done.

the primary reason that i bought this tablet was for the large internal storage capacity and also because i could add an external sd card. this tablet has never left home, always in a case, no drops, no problems. then one day i see this thin vertical red line on the screen. still in warranty. btw, samsung doesn't offer tablet protection. in short, i received the tablet back from repair, but not in the condition i sent it, also minus the spen, which i'm still trying to get replaced. the spen is magnetically attached to the back of the tablet and is a complete fail bc it falls off if your case isn't designed to hold it.

this tablet has it all. i bought it unlocked and used it heavily for drawing, word processing ( i also purchased the keypad cover ). this tablet makes it easy to use the latest samsung phone and watch to merge schedules, meetings and classes. with enough processing power to run pdf files for lengthy courses books while also utilizing class software or work software. this is helpful to screen share and open the book or instructional videos on the television and allows for note taking or work reversions to take place on the tablet so others can see and not crowd around so close. will be buying the next samsung tablet.

brought my new mountain gray unit and color-matching magnetic book cover directly from samsung.com last weekend with government employee discount, instant discount, trade-in of my tab 10.1 2019, and referral discount; plus the tax i ended up paying only about $390.00. at the time of writing this review mountain gray unit and book cover are not available in samsung.com. i think i really got a great deal at samsung.com. comparing to my ipad pro 2019, tab s6 is also very responsive; but its amoled screen is so vivid that ipad pro just can't beat that. four speakers are loud but i wish it had a headphone jack. like many tab s6 tablets out there, my unit also demonstrates jelly effect when scrolling in portrait; but it is tolerable. overall, tab s6 is still a good tablet going to 2021.

after years of using an ipad, my son dropped it on a rock accidentally and it wound up with an actual hole in the screen. it was useful for the most part. when i was thinking of replacing it, i looked at the s6 because everything else i have around me are samsung products. tv, watch, phone, washer & dryer... fridge. everything! so i bought the galaxy tab s6. couldn't be happier. it looks great, sounds great watching movies! productivity wise, i was able to integrate all my work tools which are google based. i'm now able to travel without my work laptop!

the tablet was great, lightweight, and responsive. scrolling on a website was terrible. the vertical scrolling on the tablet is uneven. when scrolling up and down the left and right side don't scroll at the same rate, which creates a wavy or, jello scroll as some users have pointed out. i initially thought it was a fixable issue, and sent it in for repair to samsung. they "repaired" it and sent it back, with out sending the s-pen back. due to the device having this issue and samsung repair department keeping my s- pen, i decided to return this product.

Let me premise this review by saying that while I am technically efficient I am by no means advance. I am a small business owner and also a mother. For that reason having something that I can take with me on the go to complete my work was becoming Paramount in my business. Especially with a climate of today having small children in the home and constantly needing to work while I cooked, did laundry, or ran errands was becoming a major necessity in my life. I wanted something that was as large as I could comfortably Take Along with me while I performed these functions. After much research, soul searching and a great debate I finally settled on the Galaxy Tab S6. I literally could not be happier with this tablet. It performs every function that I need it to. I have downloaded every app that I use on my desktop computer. I haven't turned my computer on and weeks!!! Not only am I able to perform everything I did on my desktop I am performing it easier and with more efficiency than I was before. The S Pen is literally life-changing for me! What I do for my home based business is of a graphic nature. The S Pen makes this as easy as drawing and I could literally not be any more impressed with a tablet that I am. The processing speed is seriously top-notch! The screen size is perfect, vibrant, and some of the best I have ever seen! The tablet has a nice heft without being heavy as well. I tossed this thing in my purse and go! What once was lost time at doctor's appointments and standing in line at the grocery store is now an opportunity for me to create and make money to help sustain my family. What an amazing product Samsung!!!

I bought the Galaxy Tab S6 10.5", 128GB, Mountain Gray (Wi-Fi) S Pen included because I am literally almost always on the web. Whether it's socializing, playing games, streaming movies and podcasts, listening to music. I spend a good deal of time online. I loved what this tablet had to offer. The 10.5 screen grabbed me right away and with 128 GB built-in that I could expand up to 512 GB had me pretty excited! It's really lightweight and sleek looking as well. Set up was very easy. Step by step instructions. I had it up and running online in a few minutes. The first thing that grabbed my eye was how bright and vivid the screen was! Also how responsive the stylus was. I'm still playing around with it. Getting everything I want installed and the settings to my liking. So far I am so excited and happy with my purchase. I've played a handful of my regular games on it. Watched a couple movies and countless videos and I am very satisfied with the sound, the screen quality and how fast it is. The camera takes very good pictures. I'm still learning all the features to that. This tablet has so much to offer and I really highly recommend it!

well i just finished getting rid of all apple products i had . to many problems . so i give away my ipad and buy this tab s6 watched my first movie at night , pitch dark to see bad color bleed as shown in pic . annoyed as i just missed 2 week return window for best buy. so i send it in for repair and absolutely nothing was done but reset the tablet . even i know this has nothing to do with any reset . i'm so bummed as i know how nice a samsung screen can be . so looks like i'm being basically told to live with it . my note 9 is great and the screen does not do this and is perfectly even . i just cannot seem to win .

I am surprised how good of a tablet this is because when you look at the tablet it is rather thin and light but don't let that fool you. This tablet has handled everything I have done with it like a champ, whether or not it was gaming, watching streaming video, drawing, or taking pictures. Ill mention the things that I like about this tablet. 1. This little guy has quite a bit of processing power compared to other tablets I have owned. Meaning it doesn't lag when I try to run apps and it runs them speedily. 2. The display looks very good and the colors are vibrant. It looks so good that this thing puts my 700 dollar Samsung monitor to shame. 3. Sound. This tablet has four speakers on it that produce great audio that can be heard clear across the room, unlike my phone and older tablets that I have had. 5. Finger print scanner. I love that I can unlock this tablet with just using my fingerprints. 6. Pen. I didn't think I would care much for the pen but it has surprised me. The pen feels as natural as usual an actual pen or pencil and when writing with it the tablet even produces writing noises as if you are writing with an actual pencil. But the big reason that I like using the pen is that I don't have to worry about my grubby finger prints getting all over the screen. And if you prefer writing your notes they have a handy handwriting to text converter which works very well. 7. Camera. This tablet has a very nice 13 mp camera which takes pictures that look better than my wife's camera. The only thing that I dislike about the camera is that while making videos sometimes the camera would change the focus for a second which would blur the image. What I don't like with the tablet. 1. The fingerprint scanner is nice but not perfect. There are times that I have to scan my finger 3 times before I can unlock the app. 2. Pen - I do not like how the pen fastens on the back with a magnet. The reason is that its much too easy to knock the pen off and lose it. 3. The camera adjusting the zoom while filming video is a little annoying. Other than these this tablet is definitely worth trying.

I have had time to mess around with this tablet and am really impressed with it. The biggest thing I like is the battery life. I charged it the night before and the next day with normal use, not using it all day, but periodically throughout the day, it had only drained to about 50% that evening. I have not seen how long it takes to charge fully because I charge it at night before I go to bed. I am really enjoying the stylus that comes with it, and it does come with two replacement tips. There is really no need to ever touch the screen of the tablet if you didn't want to. It has been of a learning curve and I am still learning the ends and outs, but I have no downsides for it so far. The pen charges by attaching to the back magnetically. I have found that the battery is very slow to drain and there is also a feature that will alert you if the pen and the tablet are too far apart from each other. If you are one to misplace things, then this feature is for you. I also enjoy the fact that I can write notes or reminders with it instead of typing if that is your preference. It seems to have features that a mouse would with a typical pc. The tablet is very slim. However, it doesn't feel cheap in the slightest. The display is good and seems to be nice a clear. The camera is surprisingly good as well. I didn't have high hopes for a tablet to have a decent camera, but this proved me wrong. The processor is great and I have had no problem with download speeds or loading times. It is incredibly fast. With 128GB of memory, I really can't see myself ever utilizing it all any time soon (which is an upside). The only downside to this is that the galaxy browser had stopped responding a couple of times. This seems to only happen if the app is still open and I go back into it after the tablet screen has gone black. I have had no problems with any other app I have run so far. Another thing is that this tablet hasn't gotten hot or warm no matter if I am using it on charge or just using it a lot. With the keyboard (I have not used one), I can see this being a very good 2 in 1 tablet/pc.

The Galaxy Tab S6 is the perfect tablet. From an art perspective, the screen has amazing resolution and the pressure point sensitivity is absolutely phenomenal. Also from a student's perspective, I've never had a more perfect electronic device for note taking. Writing with the S-Pen is very similar to riding with a normal high end pen, it's very comfortable in my hand it is not heavy or bulky. There is practically zero lag from the S-Pen to the screen image activity. All of that is packed in to a thin tablet. I love it and I would definitely recommend to anyone searching for a tablet.

I received this tablet for review. I has quality features to it. Face detection to unlock, fingerprint password for security, pin access, long lasting battery which is important, the screen is a nice size, S Pen and much more! I can navigate easily thru. The S Pen features allows you to browse thru the internet with forward and back clicks, write instead of type messages, navigate thru certain apps as well and the battery time on it last. Definitely impressed by this tablet I will be purchasing a 2nd soon.

This thing is awesome!! It even talks to you through the setup. Easy to use. Light weight. I love that it has a pen included so I don't get the screen all messy. I've had other tablets in the past, but this one by far is my favorite. If your looking for a new tablet this one is for you. It takes great photos too.

really nice tablet. super fast processor and boot up. the screen is large and bright with really great quality picture. really powerful tablet able to stream videos and do all the normal pc and phone needs. the profile is super thin. the battery is great as well last all day with regular use. also comes with a smart pen that can be used for many functions.

I needed a tablet to travel to and from work that would be compatible with my phone. I got the Galaxy Tab S6 10.5", 128GB, Mountain Gray (Wi-Fi) with S Pen. I LOVE IT! It has a super defined screen. The apps are exactly like my phone. It is a tablet like no other.

tThe samsung - Galaxy Tab S6 10.5", 128GB, Mountain Gray (Wi-Fi) S Pen included, is an absolutely amazing tablet. From opening the box, to using the tablet, I have felt nothing but pleasure. Initial set of the Galaxy tab S6 was intuitive and easy, with clear instructions and simple requirements. This tablet is a pleasure to use, all the apps I have used have run smoothly, there have been no issues with the tablet (even leaving many of them left open in the background). The tablet size is perfect and can be held in one hand with no problem. Probably my only complaint is the camera. I was not super impressed with them, however I do not use tablets for photography, so this is a minor issue for me. The S pen is super useful and sits ergonomically in the hand, charging is extremely easy (it magnet holds it in place), and the recharge speed is fast. The pen is also perfect for right or left handed people. The pen gestures are explained and demonstrated to you as soon as you begin using the pen, very very impressed. Drawing with the pen is a dream, with some of the most realistic pen strokes I have ever seen. The quality of this tablet is absolutely amazing, with a metal back, gorilla glass front. I do recommended that you purchase the Samsung case for the tablet, to ensure that it doesn't get scratched, or broken. I will also be purchasing the keyboard which Samsung also offer. Overall the Samsung - Galaxy Tab S6 10.5", 128GB, Mountain Gray (Wi-Fi) S Pen included is the best tablet that I have ever used. I am extremely happy with this product and I strongly recommended purchasing.

Can't say enough great things about the Galaxy Tab S6. From the product packaging to super easy set-up instructions to the speed of processing. I've had tablets in the past but never one with a stylus pen, and now I will never go without again, the pen is awesome! The pen fits magnetically to the back of the tablet which sometimes makes it fall because it's not nestled, but not big deal. I was able to easily and quickly transfer apps from my old Galaxy to this one in minutes, which saved the hassle of downloading again. The colors pop, the screen transitions are smooth, and processing speed is fast.

I am a huge fan of Samsung products. I have owned a samsung note 10.1 for years but I had to have the galaxy tab s6. I love the design and how lightweight it is. The screen is so clear and the picture quality is awesome. The sound quality is among the best out there. This tablet is perfect for watching videos and streaming. I love that it does everything that a huge laptop does but in a smaller item. I am soo inlove with this tablet. My new favorite!!

I just recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy S6 (10.5 inch) with S pen and it's the best tablet I've ever owned. The screen is big and sleek, it not only looks stylish but the picture is clear and crisp. It was easy to setup and even easier to use. The pen is an amazing added bonus. Not only can it be used like a stylis and a pencil but it also acts like a laser pointer when close to the tablet. I love this tablet so much I've ordered a second one for my kids and recommend it to all my friends and family.

this tablet is awesome. however, you have to be careful if you are planning to buy the bookcover keyboard from samsung. after a while it will come off. and be careful when buying a case that has large magnets because it will interefere with the spen. the screen can be bigger, that way the keyboard can be bigger too. however, i love this product. and samsung dex is a great tool for anyone who wants to use this as a mini laptop

Most disappointing Samsung I've owned

This is my 4th Samsung tablet (I've owned 5 Samsung phones, at least a dozen TVs, a fridge, washer and dryer, and so on-- I lean heavily toward Samsung products when shopping for new). This tablet was intended to replace a very long in the tooth SM-T900. The 900 has been a highly reliable, well designed workhorse for me for many years, but with a battery that will no longer hold a charge for more than 2-3 hours, and an occasional unannounced spontaneous reboot issue, I decided to retire it for a new "flagship" Tab S6. The S6 is a terrible size-- tiny compared to the 900. Button layout is an attempt to force users to portrait mode-- which is anthitecal to "desktop" layout. If I wanted to do work on a portrait layout, I'd use my phone... which would be silly. When you do tip it to portrait, the volume up/down buttons are backwards. That is, left is volume up, right is volume down. That violates every fiber of human factors and UX design principle... and is exactly the opposite of every previous Samsung Tab ever made. I've been a Note owner since the start... I've owned every model except the fireball 7, and I have not yet considered the 10. And going back a decade or more, I was a Palm user... so I like my stylus. With this in mind, who signed off on the ridiculous idea of having the $100 stylus ride on the back of the S6, completely in the way of laying the tablet flat, and easily knocked off (thanks to the nominal 'magnetic' attachment) and lost? I'm guessing someone trying to drive revenue in the Replacement Stylus Department. My spouse asked me the other day why I was using my old tablet and not the new one. My response was simply... "I hate it." The S6 has deeply disappointed me.

i was debating whether to get a laptop or a tablet to start my program. this was exactly what i needed. i also bough the keyboard cover so when i type papers it is just like having a laptop. its portable and not filled with stupid software that i will never use. this is so much cooler and faster than my old galaxy tab.

One week of no screen protection

I purchased during pandemic I personally love it. Upgrading from Tab S2 32GB versions a bit of a learning curve, not really turning on features yet. Reading what other customers on FB & Reddit are ranting about first don't think I'll turn on Bixby not for me love Dolby Atmos for Media & Gaming not much information on Glass Screen Protectors, sometimes finger print sensor sometimes not. Lot of options no solid answers. Primarily going to be used for War Robots Pixonic.Com Googleplay store & record game play then uploaded to YouTube channel.

The best tablet in general, android and apple. Strong specs and performance plus features are packed in this light and thin tablet. Battery has never failed me, especially on this bright and vibrant screen. S Pen is hands down the best stylus on any tablet. Would definitely recommend!

I have had this tablet for a little while now and it's great! The battery life is the best I've had in an android tablet so far. The screen is Samsung standard awesome. Performance and usability is right on par. Samsung must continue to work on releasing more timely updates for all of the devices and has shown much improvement in the that area as of late. I bought this product on 03/27/2020 from store after waiting for so long for this product to be available in store, when i open the box i was excited but it turned into nightmare as my dream product did not start even waiting for more then 3 hrs then approached the customer support they could not help me and asked me to send it for a repair i do not t understand why i have to repair my brand new product.

Galaxy Tab S6 student review

I bought this back in November 2019 and i wanted to use it before i wrote a review. So 3 months later, it's still an amazing product charges fast and cuts down on how much books i have to carry with me from class to class. For the most part, i use it to take notes and pull up notes such as PDFs, PowerPoint's for class and i do all of this through Samsung DeX which allows me to have multiple files open at once. On the topic of note taking i use one note because i am ale to sync it with my laptop and phone the only con about taking notes is that i wish the S pen was shaped like a regular pen because it does get uncomfortable to write with after a while but other than that everything works perfectly. On another note, if i wanted to play games and watch movies i just switch to tablet mode just because i prefer to do that but you are able to do it in DeX mode. I didn't purchase the keyboard attachment mainly because the purpose of me purchasing this device was for note taking reasons and if that is what you are looking for this product is the perfect one to get. Again the pen is not the best because of the design/shape but it's not too bad really but it's not too bad once you get used to it.

I bought this s6 a couple weeks ago and also purchased a screen protector. I love the picture quality and the screen protector works just fine. Also has great battery life. The only thing I have a problem with is that the free RAM drops because of the bloatware that I don't need at all. The app I am using needs at least 2.5 Gig or more, and there are programs on the device that automatically turn themselves back on after I go through the cleaning process, plus I don't use Bixby at all. If I could, I would trash most of the stuff on the tablet, because I only use it for the one app. I gave it a 3 star because of the life sucking bloatware.

I've had the tablet for about a month and it has been fantastic. My only complaint is that the screen got some hair line cracks when I dropped it from not very high at all... This was my fault and I should have bought a better case, but I would think the screen could be a little tougher. Over all it's a fantastic tablet and an excellent replacement for my Tab S.

Just got this tablet today and the fingerprint scanner already stopped functioning due to a known software bug that Samsung apparently already tried to fix but wasn't able to. Forum confirms this issue. I like the tablet but have no patience to wait for the fix. Might just return to prove a point. I pre-ordered my Tab S6 along with the keyboard cover. It replaces the Tab S2 8". I appreciate that it doesn't weigh much for a 10.5" tablet. DeX makes it nice for easier multi-tasking - particularly with a mouse. I wasn't looking for a laptop and didn't expect this to be one. It fits a nice, useful niche in between.

Where are the premium features for a premium price

Very disappointed with Samsung for a few reasons when it comes to this tablet. I saw them advertising it on their main Website, and it said Buy The Tab S6 and get 4 Months of YouTube Premium Free. Well, I go to Best Buy to pick one up, and register it with Samsung. Guess what, no YouTube Premium. Apparently you only get that if you order from Samsung Website Directly. Nowhere did it say that. $650 for this Tablet, and there is basically no difference between it and the Tab S4 For such a premium price tag, there is no Wifi 6 (802.11ax), No 90Hz/120Hz Refresh Rate, No Always on Display and no real world speed increase over the Tab S4. The S-Pen holder on the tablet iself seemed like a great feature. Real world, it doesn't stay attached. The magnet is weak and just picking it up off the bed/couch with the slightest drag, it knocks the S-Pen right off.
