i wanted a mobile platform i could edit photos on and this is capable enough for the hobbyist photographer in me. the screen is drop dead gorgeous. it's lightweight, the s-pen is fun and responsive. it's not sticky enough to trust, so invest in a case that keeps the s-pen secure. i bought an aftermarket keyboard case, which makes this as heavy as an ultra-book. thus far i just tested it out and haven't used it since, there's just no need for me. one ui is excellent. i absolutely love using tab s6 as a phone when my note is in another room, as well as being able to text. my only gripe is how overly sensitive the s-pen can be when i'm trying to type with it. this could very well be an error in configuration on my part, i haven't bothered to look yet. i'm still in the honeymoon phase.

this is a powerful tablet that can keep up with everything you want to do. it can even replace the desktop in my opinion it has so much versatility. the battery lasts while it is on but it has one flaw. the battery drains when the tablet is off. it also would be helpful if galaxy apps would automatically update. you have to actually open the galaxy store to update them now and that is an extra step. those two reasons are why i gave it four instead of five stars. i can find no other faults with it and my last tablet was also a galaxy tab. i am not missing a headphone jack and it has plenty of memory for me. the s pen is great and i did not get the keyboard.

i really enjoyed this tablet when i first got it. i used it through the day for basically everything. one thing i used it for was as an alarm clock. one day about a month ago, the alarm didn't go off for some reason. i tried to see why the alarm didn't go off, but when i tried to unlock the device, it wouldn't. the device for some reason had died during the night. i did some web searches to see what could have caused this, and found that i had to do a factory reset to get the tablet to start up . now i don't really use the device too much, and i try not to rely on it. i mainly just watch videos and stuff. i definitely don't use it for an alarm clock. i don't want to risk it not going off again.

i use my tablet every day for studying and i upgraded from a tab a 10.1 to this s6 10.5. i had no idea that the tablet did not come with even the basic ms office like my other tablet. i use this to make notes but not enough to get office 365. i only use the ms word! sorry for the 1 star but i'm very disappointed.

i bought this tablet to replace my existing tablet because it wont hold a charge and was getting slow. i was very excited with the features of this tablet and it does everything i need it to from work to play. i like that it comes with a s pen, which i use to take notes for my online learning. i also use this tablet to watch and consume media like most people. i really would have liked for the price that samsung would have included a basic keyboard. but they included the pen so it is fine for me. i would recommend this tablet for both work and play. performance is great.

judging by the price and the advertisement, one would think the keyboard came with it. in the advertisement the keyboard picture is not greyed out but as bring as the tablet. if it is not included, don't show it with the tablet or at least fad it out.

beautiful tablet. light and easy to hold. i love the kickstand cover but find the keyboard mediocre. sound and picture quality is amazing. i just watch media and browse the web. usb-c to hdmi with dex is great when you need a big screen. i downsized from 13" surface pro to 10" tab. the kickstand was all i needed to get me to switch.

I didn't know how slow my other tablets were. The pen is a new experience for me. I am still learning about this tablet. Everything I learn is good. I am not a power user. I have a Samsung Odyssey gaming laptop. I bought this tablet so that it could serve as a smaller sort of laptop for when I just want to stream things or browse/shop online without having to open up the computing beast. This tablet exceeded expectations! It runs very smoothly. With the keyboard compatibility, it really feels like a little laptop. (I ended up getting a keyboard case from a third party seller instead of the Samsung keyboard case. The keyboard connects with bluetooth.) The S Pen is a nice touch as well.

I received TWO faulty tablets in less than 3 days!

I purchased this tablet from Best Buy on Sunday 3-29-20 and had to pick it up from the store the next day. I picked it up that Monday after work and immediately turned it on while still at Best Buy. I waited in the parking lot for 10 minutes and it never loaded past the Samsung logo. Of course I took it back to the guys at curbside at BB and they confirmed it was defected. They ordered me another, waived the shipping fee and had it delivered to me 2day UPS. I received it today 4-1-20 and it's doing thee EXACT same thing not booting up past the Samsung screen. I drove to that same BB upset because I paid $600 for a product that was clearly poorly made and because of the inconvenience. Buyers Beware of this problem!!! There are people on Amazon and other review sites that have had the same issue. This isn't a Best Buy issue, they were great! This is a Samsung issue and the fact that they make poor quality tablets and products sometimes. I had a Samsung tab S 8.4 and the screen flickered and would shut off. I wanted to give Samsung another try because I do own and have owned several Note phones and besides the Note 7 fire issue I've been relatively pleased with the product. I'm highly disappointed in Samsung and was really looking forward to using this while quarantined and because my wife had gotten it as a birthday gift. Never again Samsung unless it's given to me for free!

I had been looking for a tablet that could ultimately replace the laptop that I have and so far this Samsung Galaxy Tab 6 with 8GB RAM and 256 GB memory is doing the job. I haven't yet added the keyboard but I may not do so because between the touch keyboard and handwriting recognition this tablet is fulfilling what I need. (Besides the Samsung keyboard is a bit pricey.)

This machine has legitmatlely changed my life. I a sitting in an airport right now, and am able to run all of my normal pc programs and apps with no hesitation. I am able to constantly work efficiently, The device adapts to the situation at hand. It can be a multimedia presentation tool, a perfect companion for streaming, and allows me to surf the web effectively. IThe s pen allows me to highlight notes and annotate articles with ease. I could not ask for a better work/play device that suits my needs. From travel, to the bedroom at night- there is nothing that stands in the S tab ^'s way.

This tablet was very well designed aside from the lack of a headphone jack and unreliable optical fingerprint scanner. The Tab S6 is very thin and light and the metal body is very premium vs glass which is more fragile. The quad speakers are very clear, loud, and bass is audible in songs. This tablet comes with the Snapdragon 855 and UFS 3.0 storage making this the fastest Android tablet. Loding apps and games is a breeze with fast storage! The keyboard cover is greatly improved with better key travel and a dedicated trackpad. The keyboard would be exceptional if it was back-lit. However, the s-pen makes up for that. Jotting down notes and scrolling through the web is smooth with the s-pen and the remote features have been useful mainly for unlocking the tablet by clicking the s-pen button. The battery life leaves much to be desired as I have been unable to get more than 9 hours of screen on time while other days I struggle to get 6 hours of sot. The 15 watt fast charger in the box also takes quite a while to charge up the tablet when you are using it. A 25watt charger would have been ideal with a 7040mah battery. The Super Amoled display is incredible with deep blacks and high contrast. This display and speakers are ideal for media consumption! Overall, I highly recommend this tablet!

I usually use my notebook for everyday things like Google searching and social media, however since getting this tablet I have found myself picking up Tab S6 and using it more often. I believe the reason for that is simple: I don't need to wait for it to boot up, it is on instantaneously and there are all available tools for me to use like Chrome, Gallery, Netflix and Social Media apps. And most of all, this tablet is extremely light and thin and is a pleasure to handle. The keyboard cover is something I also like to use with this Tab S6 as it gives me more ways to interact with the apps, thanks to the touch pad and the keyboard itself. I also found myself using the supplied S-Pen more often as when I am on the go, I can easily use the pen to navigate through the app's menus, pictures, do some necessary drawing and even play games in the down time. S-Pen is very comfortable to use, does not require long charges (yes, this pen has built-in Bluetooth and other tech allowing it to take pictures remotely and by using certain gestures I can navigate through the picture albums without a hassle). All in all, I have come to realize that by using Tab S6 on a daily basis made it easy for me to get some tasks done, the tablet has become a kitchen accessory for me as well, as I use it for looking up recipes and then quickly switch it to Spotify for my favorite soundtracks as I prepare our dinners. It is amazingly fast for mutitasking, its beautiful OLED display is a joy to look at and show off my pictures or simply catch up on the latest Netflix show with HDR enabled. I simply love this tablet and have recommended it to my family and friends who were able to witness its strengths and great design firsthand. I have received this tablet at a discount for my fair and honest review.

I love my Galaxy Tab 6, it is the best android tablet that money can buy today. Great RAM (8GB) is the specs you'd expect in a full blown windows laptop, along with very spacious 256GB storage. This can come fairly close to replacing my Suface Go I bought a few months ago however, the most important feature to make this a real productive machine is the keyboard, which has been backordered for over a month now so I cannot use it for the true purpose I bought it for...Work. Try "hunt & pecking" without a real keyboard when you're typing out work email or something else that is real work related, time sensitive and needs to be void of errors. Without the keyboard, this tablet is an overpriced media consumption device that is very limited in production capabilities. Yes, I am very disappointed that Samsung sold me on the keyboard but then they can't deliver it with the tablet. Sure, I can buy some third party knock-off keyboard but I pay the extra money for the Samsung quality and I'd like to get my products shortly after I ordered them instead of a month-and-a-half of being on back order. Samsung needs to fix their supply chain problem.

Let me start of by saying I have always been an android user and this is my 2nd android tablet. My previous tablet is like 4 years old and the improvements are amazing. The Samsung Galaxy S6 is smart little PC tablet. It can be a tablet or a PC with the keypad cover accessory. The detachable keyboard makes it easier to type and gives the tablet extra protection. It is magnetic,so it easily attaches to the tablet. The S-Pen is a nice feature, as an influencer it makes it easier to edit photos and videos using the pen. The accuracy is on point on the S-Pen. This has an AMOLED display which brings a true to life display. Tablet is light weight and easy to bring around with you. It fits my purse. I love how versatile this tablet is. This is a great addition to my Samsung family of gadgets. Great buy but a little pricey but still worth it!

- Design The design is amazing in comparison to other tablets out there. In a world of shrinking bezels, there's still we obvious but necessary bezels to the device and I'd argue a tablet shouldn't be bezelless in order to avoid wrong touches. The device feels very premium and good in your hands as well. - Performance This device has never stuttered on me. Every touch is instant and multitasking is a breeze. As soon as the device starts up it's ready to go. - Battery Life I'm not a power tablet user. It's fun for internet browsing and watching videos and the occasion game and therefore it can last a couple days for me. Also I was very impressed with it's idle drain. The battery barely depletes when idle. - Screen Quality I absolutely love this screen. That can be said of any Samsung device and this one is no different. It has a wide brightness range and works even out in bright sunlight outside. The colors are also very vibrant as to be expected with the technology in Samsung panels. - S Pen I've never used a note device or tablet with an S Pen before because I never saw the point in it. I was definitely wrong in that. Especially with the Bluetooth features that now come with the S Pen allowing you a wide range of activities you can perform with it including taking pictures! I use the S Pen all the time because of how useful it is. - Sound Quality LOUD AND CLEAR. Definitely the best way to describe these speakers. With the addition of Dolby Atmos these speakers make listening to music and watching videos a very immersive experience.

This Galaxy Tab S6 256GB tablet is so great! I struggle between wanting a laptop or wanting a tablet, and with this, I feel like I have both all in one. I travel out of town a lot, so being able to use video chats to keep in touch with my family is very important to me. The camera feature is amazing and my family is able to see me so clearly it's like I'm home with them. I love that there's even a wide and an ultra wide camera in the back. I can take phanominal photos just like if I were to use a professional camera. I also am really enjoying the S pen that is included. It's very easy to use and much more precise than just using your finger. I love that most of the time you don't necasarily have to touch the pen to the screen and if you just hover over it works too. Using the motion of the pen is very cool and convienet as well, along with clicking the button once or twice as well to go back or select things. The pen itself is magnetic and charges just from being connected magnetically to the back of the tablet. I LOVE this feature. It charges very quick in my opinion as well and it holds that charge well! My only complaint is that sometimes the magnet will attach on the wrong side of the pen, making it "attach" to the tablet, however it doesn't charge in this position. You need to double check that the correct spot is attached to the tablet (the grey oval part on the pen) and that it's charging correctly. (You'll also know it's charging correctly when the tablet buzzes and alerts you that it's charging the pen.) The space on this tablet is great! I love that you can choose different sized GB that will fit your needs as well as add an SD card when needed. (The SD slot is almost hidden it's so sleek. Which I love! I don't have to worry about it getting bumped an having it fall out or something. It only open up when you use the special metal "key") All in all if you like using tablets as well as laptops this Samsgun Galaxy Tab S6 would be a great option for you! I highly reccomend it for students, people who travel, or just people who like the convience of being able to get up and go!

I was completely skeptical before getting my hands on the Samsung device. I have used tablets with keyboard and computer interface before but something was amiss in each case. I'm a huge fan of Android devices but the tablets were never up to the mark until now. The key highlights that made me consider Samsung Tab S6: Weight: Less than 1 pound (450g). There are powerful laptops under2.5 pounds out in the market, so the weight was a critical factor in choosing a tablet (with dual-mode). S-Pen: The tactile and ergonomic design is the best overall. It doesn't cost extra (included with a tablet). Attaches magnetically to the tablet, important considering how it's so easy to lose track of it. Samsung DEX: The main reason for using a laptop mode is to access multiple programs/ apps at the same time and adding external devices like mouse/keyboard for improving productivity. Love the feature, please read more about the versatile usage of DEX. It's awesome to learn more but too big for the review here (wouldn't want to sidetrack) Price: Cheaper than any other competing products on the market (from a reliable brand). Things I didn't like or you term it as needs improvement: Headphone jack: I guess following the latest market trends, every product is opting for wireless/ USB-C compatibility, I wouldn't fret too much about it. It's just that wireless interface tends to drain the battery and some are prone to issues. USB-C Dongle: Wish they provided a form-fit USB-C to AUX dongle (easy to include in the packaging). I wanted this as the adapters/ dongles provided with the tab would match the design aspects much better. Speakers: Definitely better than previous tablets from Samsung but there is scope for improvement. Battery: Gets me through most of the day on nominal usage. But it drains in idle condition, didn't expect this to happen. Opened the tablet after 3 days and found the charge dropped to 48%, so I guess flight mode needs to be turned on before turning the device to Sleep mode. Overall the pros outweigh the cons by a huge quantity. I intend to buy one more for my family as well.

I used the tab 6 for media consumption and for work. It is amazing for media consumption because of the unmatched Super AMOLED display that is crisp and beautiful. It is paired with Dolby Atmos speakers and watching YouTube and movies is a pleasure. The processor is finally matching the expectations (current high end) and not last gen like before. It is the best Android Tablet and it gives the iPad Pro a run for its money. The processor combined with the amount of RAM it has make it a media consumption powerhouse and great for gaming. While Samsung's One Ui is not perfect, it is better than anything out there in the Android market. The S Pen comes in as standard and that makes the tablet great for anyone for business and as a laptop replacement. I love the fact that I can take a picture of certain areas on my inspections and start writing directions on the picture. I also love the note line and this one is a big note that makes it easier to share findings with coworkers. Very easy to edit and write word documents on the go. I also use it a lot to hook it up to a projector and do my presentations using Samsung Dex and using the pen as a presenter (you click once to go forward and twice to go backwards). The screen is also big and bright enough if you have a short presentation for just 2-3 people. The only limitations to what you can do are Android Apps which Samsung does not control. The tablet went above and beyond of any expectations I had for it.

You can definitely get a full day use out of it if you're taking notes, streaming videos, or even using Dex. A little more juice would be nice but it is what it is. - Screen Quality The views you get on this device are spectacular. Whether that'd be indoors or outdoors, there is no problem with the screen. - S Pen I own a Note 8 and having a regular S Pen seemed normal to me. It writes on a screen and gets the job done. So now stepping up to the Tab S6 S Pen, man was I in for a treat. The bluetooth capabilities on the pen itself makes it very convenient to unlock the tablet, control music and take photos. Using the regular S Pen is now just sad to me. - Sound Quality 4 Quad speakers with the additional use of Dolby Atmos equipped on the tablet makes this a tablet not to be reckoned with. The clarity that comes out of these speakers a phenomenal when you watch a movie or even play video games.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 -Best Android tablet to date

Overview: Currently I have an older Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 to compare to. In the words of Samsung, "Imagine a more personal PC experience-without a PC. Meet the Galaxy Tab S6, the ultra-slim 2-in-1 that performs like a laptop with the mobility of a tablet." I personally do not look at an Android tablet as a PC replacement that runs Windows as it's simply not a fair comparison. DeX is a smooth Android alternative overlay that provides a PC feel. Specifications: Website provides details. I have the 8GB(RAM)+256GB(Internal) model. Added 512GB SD Card. No headphone jack. Preface: As a CPA a Windows PC/laptop does my heavy computational lifting. Data will be synced to the S6 from my PC. I plan to use the S6 as my digital notebook/data reader, portable video player, and night time/in bed web surfing and social media device. Battery: The longest I've used the tablet for thus far is about 5 or so hours straight, and the battery life was down below 70% under mixed use (emails, video, social media). I probably will never be able to truly speak for battery life as the tablet will not be on/used all day. Sound: I am impressed with the sound. The sound from the S6 far exceeds any laptop or tablet I've owned. I have yet to connect a Bluetooth speaker to it, but I expect typical Bluetooth performance just like from my S10+ phone. Bluetooth technology still has a way to go. There can be drops and lags. I still have some wired headphones, and not having a headphone jack means I will never hear the best/uncompressed sound that directly plugging is a headphone offers. S-Pen: I use the pen for note taking at meetings and seminars using the Samsung Notes app. As of this review I am not sure if I can convert S-Pen writing to text (alternative to keyboard input). I can envision artists using the pen. Air actions allows certain performance in the air without physically touching the display. Cool, but I would think faster and more intuitive for me to just use the glass. Camera: Decent quality pictures. Good for video chatting. Responsive. It operates similar to my S10+ which will be by main camera. Display: Impressive. The display is crisp and clear. I noticed no lag/blur in watching YouTube, Netflix, Facebook, or Fios. It's very responsive to touch when opening apps/swiping screen etc. Conclusion: This is an excellent high-end tablet. It's the fastest tablet I've owned. The combination of the great display, solid sound, and ample storage space makes it a joy to use.

I used the tab 6 for media consumption and for work. It is amazing for media consumption because of the unmatched Super AMOLED display that is crisp and beautiful. It is paired with Dolby Atmos speakers and watching YouTube and movies is a pleasure. The processor is finally matching the expectations (current high end) and not last gen like before. It is the best Android Tablet and it gives the iPad Pro a run for its money. The processor combined with the amount of RAM it has make it a media consumption powerhouse and great for gaming. While Samsung's One Ui is not perfect, it is better than anything out there in the Android market. The S Pen comes in as standard and that makes the tablet great for anyone for business and as a laptop replacement. I love the fact that I can take a picture of certain areas on my inspections and start writing directions on the picture. I also love the note line and this one is a big note that makes it easier to share findings with coworkers. Very easy to edit and write word documents on the go. I also use it a lot to hook it up to a projector and do my presentations using Samsung Dex and using the pen as a presenter (you click once to go forward and twice to go backwards). The screen is also big and bright enough if you have a short presentation for just 2-3 people. The only limitations to what you can do are Android Apps which Samsung does not control. The tablet went above and beyond of any expectations I had for it.

When I first heard that Samsung was releasing a new Tab S6, I was very intrigued! I have been using Samsung Tab S4 for a year now and its performance has been very good. I could only imagine what Tab S6 would bring to the table. First of all, Samsung Tab S6 shines and I can say that it is one of the best Android tablets. Samsung has perfected its form factor and slimmed it down even more compared to Tab S4 and instead of glass back it now has a beautiful aluminum cover. It is a real pleasure to hold this tablet in one hand and use the supplied S-Pen which has also been redesigned and sports bluetooth. The first thing that everyone will notice is of course its gorgeous vibrant OLED display. It is bright, crisp and well balanced in color saturation. Media consumption on this tablet has been a joy to use, games like Asphalt, Fortnite are meant to be played on a display like that. This tablet supports HDR and Dolby Atmos and makes movie watching experience absolutely a must whether you are on a plane or a subway, this tablet will not disappoint. Its battery life has been great as well and lasts me all day. There is only one negative and it is missing a headphone jack. I was a bit disappointed that it was gone, especially on a tablet where there is a lot of space. I know bluetooth headphones are available to me, however using wired headphones is simpler and it does not require them to be charged or paired. Performance on this tablet is simply amazing, I have Tab S6 with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage and with its latest 855 processor from Qualcomm (same one that comes on Note 10) this tablet runs circles around many other tablets that are currently on the market. Web pages load in an instant, videos on YouTube never stutter thanks to great wireless chipset, Bluetooth 5.0 makes sure I never lose connection. This tablet is fast, snappy and graphics are butter smooth! Samsung has also included an S-Pen - a very handy pen that is capable of a lot of things. First of all, it is comfortable to hold, reminds me a bit of a carpenter pencil. It can easily attach to the side of the tablet or can be placed in a special groove on the back of the tablet for charging. It is very precise and drawing sketches is fun, making notes is also easy and your handwritten notes can be converted to text! You can also use gestures and take pictures remotely or browse through your Gallery without touching the screen. Love it. I received this tablet for a discount for my honest review.

I was very excited for this tablet and was looking for a thinner, lighter upgrade to my Tab S4. The S6 has been wonderful. Design: Very sleek. Beautiful coloring of tablet. Love how thin and light it is. I have the Tab S4 and the S6 blows it out of the water in terms of design. Performance: Sometimes doesn't respond to finger scrolling and I've had to use the S Pen. Otherwise, no lag or noticeable performance issues. Very responsive. Battery Life: Great. Battery was at 50% one day, I used it to watch Netflix for a couple hours, left it alone for 2 days and that's when it died. Screen Quality: Crisp. Great contrast. Inky blacks. Bright colors. Backlight is good enough to use outdoors with minimal washout. S Pen: Works well. Love how it functions as a mouse without a mouse. Really like that it's magnetic and sticks to the back. Sound Quality: Very good for a tablet. Voices are clear and the sounds is crisp. Love the Dolby Atmos sound on it.
