Fix for brush issue

for anyone experiencing the brush issue-i came up with a fairly easy way around it if you're handy. if you just need the brush and don't want to buy a whole new vacuum, get a vca-rpb40 brush and trim a ~1/2 cm space in the fibers and rubber strips at either end, and a ~1 cm space in the location of the partitions on the brush retaining piece. if you trim it right to give it space to rotate freely, it will spin quietly and continue working as intended.
yes, the issue is annoying, and yes, samsung would come up with a fix on their own if they valued quality and customer service over capital gains-but not much that can be done about that.

since purchasing march/april 2021 have had to replace the brush three times because it melts. the metal bearing is not sealed and has plastic which catches hair and melts the plastic and rubber parts.

i have multiple powerbots and the constantly facing the brush problem. the brush has a small bearing that easily gets bad and destroys a rubber gasket that probably costs $0.01 but you have to buy a whole brush.
i read bad reviews from other people but customer service's useless responses sound even worse than reviews.
i guess it is not an option to send a bunch of virtually free rubber gaskets to upset customers, not an option for samsung.

like others, a very expensive robot vacuum that cannot be used because of a $30 part that can't be found. and don't tell me to look at samsung parts, they don't even recognize the model number i am looking at on the unit. samsung will not help, they merely tell you to take it for repair. the chat virtual assistant is about as useless as samsung has become. washer, dryer, refrigerator, range, dishwasher, microwave, and 4 tvs, all samsung will not be replaced with samsung as they fail with this type of crappy attitude toward the consumer.

like many others have said there is a defective bearing design in this brush making the bacuum useless. even if you can find a replacement it's just going to go bad in a few months. samsung has done nothing to help with this issue has actually been pretty awful in addressing it. i would never have bought this vacuum and feel very betrayed especially considering the amount of samsung devices i have.

i spent alot on my powerbot and i like it but i dont like how the brush is designed. the open bearing seizes all most every three months causing me to order another one on amazon. it is currently useless since i cant find a replacement brush anywhere. any help on where to find it or when they will be available would be great?

i loved my samsung power bot but i have had to replace the combo brush a few times. now it's no where to be found!! very frustrating after spending $900 on a vacuum and can't use it because of a $30 part. i will not be buying samsung in the future.

i have a samsung robot vacuum. i have actually been very pleased with it. have owned it for 5 years or so. the bearing on the brush bar is shot. makes loud noises and doesnt run right. ive been trying to find a replacement brush bar but cant find it anywhere. at this point id like to buy a few. hate the fact spent a lot of money on this thing when we bought it and its almost useless because a 20 something dollar part cant be found. id rather not have to buy a new one when this one with a new brush bar would work perfectly fine.

This is the part you need if your POWERbot suddenly started making noise and when you removed the brush, the noise stopped. I love this product! But 2 years after purchase, my Powerbot suddenly started making a terrible racket! I searched this site and the internet to troubleshoot the source of the problem; cleaned the ends of the brush very thoroughly, added some oil to the ends of the brush where they fit into the bearing and groove as suggested. When it continued to make the loud noise, I simply ordered the new brush and replaced the old one. No noise. Problem solved. All vacuums I've had needed maintenance and sometimes new parts. So, this is a non-problem for me. One Note: I wish it had been easier to find out how to solve the problem.

Brush has an open bearing which fails due to dirt and moisture. Brush generates a failure code for a jammed brush, when in fact the brush won't turn due the seized bearing.
Brush should last a couple of years at least, but instead must be replaced after a few months.. Needless to say it is a simple matter to change to a sealed bearing at the soure of manufacture, as is I recommend a drop or two of oil prior to installing and on a regular basis thereafter.
